    Tire Chains vs Concrete

Have a set of chains, combination of cleats, some fairly aggressive, front and back. Problem is we got a nice concrete pad poured this year in front of the garage. I am thinking that the chains would do a number on the concrete unless there is a cover of snow or ice. Any ideas/experiences with...

    Another hydraulic hose

Had a hose fail, rubbed against the FEL arm. Trying to figure out how to protect the new one. Had a plastic sleeve around it but I don't think it was heavy enough. Any suggestions? I have some plastic tubing that is heavier and I think I can put it on before I connect it eliminating the need to...

    RO waste drain

Way off topic but does anyone know how far the 1/4" tubing should go into the main drain line?

    Coon Problem

Any ideas on how to get rid of coons? They are in my barn at night, I see their tracks. I really can't set traps, I have live traps, but also have barn cats that are half wild and I am sure they would get in the traps before the coons. They must come in late because I have not been able to catch...

    Propane question?

Getting a new GE gas kitchen range. Called Home Depot local store and also their hotline to make sure they would convert it to Propane and was assured by each that they would take care of it. Got my paperwork, my responsibility list for delivery, and it clearly states in a couple of places that...

    Hydraulic Lines

How often do you have to replace faulty hydraulic lines? It seems like I replace one a year, not the same one, very light use and no abuse or accident. Only about $15 so no big expense, just a pain since the dealer is 50 miles away. Tractor is about 7 years old and stored in barn, don't know how...

    Phantom Hydr leak

Noticed a leak in lift arm, small wet spot and a few drops on the fitting/hose. Wiped it off, ran the tractor, and now no leak. I figured running it would amplify the leak so that I could tell which hose it was actually coming from, there are two side by side. Has anybody had a phantom leak...

    Speaking of Phones

Years ago I was on an F150 forum and asked about how to do something and a guy told me to use my Smart Phone to accomplish my goal. I said I didn't have a Smart Phone and he said to get one and it would change my life. No truer words were spoken, can't believe how it has changed my everyday...

    Yellow Dipstick

Polaris and Kubota must have gotten a good deal on Yellow plastic, they both use it for Dipsticks. I saw a YT vid where the guy used a black marker (Permanent/Magic) to paint the dipstick so that it would be easier to see. He got the suggestion from an experienced mechanic but he said he did not...

    Hydrant

Outside Woodford hydrant that's about 30 years old. Over the years the pressure has been deteriorating to the point I knew I had to do something. Checked YT vids and dreaded digging it up or dissembling the head. I noticed the faucet opening was restricted so I proceeded to use all kinds of...

    Cardinal Sin Overfill HST

I thought I was careful but using 2.5 gallon jugs instead of the one gallon kind of screwed me up, or at least that's my excuse. I overfilled my HST when I changed fluid on my B2650, dipstick was a couple of inches above full. Sorry if someone already thought of this but I couldn't find it in a...

    B2650 Owner Manual ?

Familiarizing myself with filter changes for 400 hour fluid change. Owner Manual has me a bit confused. On page 79 it says to tighten filter with a wrench "one turn" after contacting mounting surface but on page 83 it says to tighten filter by hand only "1/2 turn". It makes no real distinction...

    B2650 Filters

It has been a while since I have bought filters for my B2650, so went to Kubota dealer and bought some for fluid change. As expected, with inflation, the price of the fluids and filters have increased, 10 - 20%. But one HST filter HH660-36060-620 increased 232%, plus all the other products were...

    LA-534 Hydr leak

Hose is leaking and it looks like a PIA to get to. It is the short hose, yellow marker tape, on the left side of the FEL if you are sitting in the driver seat, pics attached. Limited area to get to fittings. Anyone ever replaced this hose and if so how did you go about it, tools, etc.

    Rear blade weights

6' rear blade with old cutting edges for weight, hung from S hooks. Where would you hang them? Edges/ends or middle? I usually have them on each end of the blade but want to try concentrating the weights in the middle.

    Phone charging cable?

I bought a charging cable for my phone and it is noticeably slower than other cables. Anybody know what could cause this, is length a factor? The new slow one is 9 feet and my others are in the 3 feet range.

    Airline Miles Rant

Have you had "experiences" using Airline Miles? I had saved my United Miles and decided to use them. Well that was an experience, to use only miles and no cash I had to have an itinerary that took days or went through places like Newark. Now that would be thousands of miles out of our way. Ended...

    B2650 Fuel Shutoff

Anybody have what they used for a fuel shutoff on a B2650, part # and size and procedure? Where did you access the fuel line, looks tight around the filter? Just did a filter change so it will be a while before I have to do it again but it was a mess trying to get it screwed back in while diesel...

    Hydraulic leak B2650

I have a leak from my loader, looks like from the cover where the tubing goes from one side to the other. Anything I should know before I start taking it apart. Looks like protective cover is bolted on, hopefully when I take it off I can find the leak.
