    Leave engine running?

Now that it’s getting cold, you really don’t want to leave it idling. You can get fuel wash down in the cylinders as the engine cools down. Even warming the engine up in cold weather should not be done at idle. Get the rpm’s up to warm it up.

    Need advice from lumberjacks/lumberjills

I would say it would would fall to the east or south without help. A tractor will help guide it but I have seen trees that size drag a tractor and fall away from the direction of pull. Look on Youtube for videos of falling a tree using a hydraulic jack. That will give you a good idea of how to...

L series plug and play aux lighting

I bought a pair of LED work lights about 4 x 6 inches and mounted them on top of the turn signal lamps (there’s a hole on top of My 7040 light brackets) and then used crimp bullet connectors to connect to the factory harness. The switch is on the lights so I can use one or both.

[BX23S] How do you like that seat angle??

I had the same problem on my M7040. I shimmed the front seat where it bolts to the tractor and solved the problem. It tilted the seat bottom up in front and I no longer feel like I’m going to slide off.

    Apparent Fuel Issue

By fuel filter, are you talking about the spin on filter or the water separator with the glass bowl? You probably have a clogged line in the system. You should probably change the filter (spin on) if you haven’t already done that. If the filter is new, you have to start looking for an...

    M7060 Error 25

The 7060 wiring diagram I just looked at showed the T/M circuit going from the fuse the the Neutral Safety Switch. From the T7M Safety Switch it goes to pin 3 of the PTO Safety Relay. If the T/M Neutral Safety Switch is shorting internally, it will blow the fuse. I would check the connector...

m7040 fuel tank drain plug leak

99harleykins, It’s on the bottom of the tank on the left side. J B Weld makes something called water weld that will seal fuel tanks, etc. it will seal, plastic, metal, etc. You could press this around the nut to lock it in place and go from there. It is epoxy so once it sets up you should...

    Zd21 overheating.

Check your fan belt, your radiator cap may be bad, clean the air filter. Don’t laugh at the air filter check. I’ve read where a severely clogged air filter has caused Kubotas to overheat. Oil level ok, oil weight ok, fan shroud in place with no cracks.

    Zd21 overheating.

Have you cleaned the radiator screen behind the seat? Blown through the radiator fins? My ZD21 actually runs cool unless that screen is dirty. How about the thermostat? Any bubbles in the coolant indicating the head gasket didn’t seal?

    Kubota M7060 not cranking

Sounds like you are not getting fuel to the injectors. I assume you have fuel in the tractor. Have you changed the fuel filter? Is there a lot of debris or water in the bowl? By start completely, is it trying to start but just won’t fire all the way up? You can disconnect the line from the...

kubota blue smoke, loss of power

Have you checked looked Inside the turbo to see if you have oil there? If the turbo seal is leaking, it will give you lots of blue smoke. The seal could be failing and that’s why you lose power as it warms up.

    ZD21 Starts Hard

When my ZD21 had that problem, it was the fuel shutoff valve. I could turn the key on and the shutoff would not “click” until the throttle was pushed to about half throttle. Then it would start. One day, it wouldn’t shut down. I replaced the fuel shutoff and since then it starts and stops...

    Mower deck belt flapping

If the bearings are Ok and it sounds like you are confidant they are, the key way may be “egged” out a little due to wear. In that case, replacing the pulley should solve the problem. Before doing that, make sure the pulley is tight on the spindle. Since the pulley is wobbling, most likely...

    ZD323 Electrical Issue

Check your harness going back from the key switch and see the harness is chafed or rubbed thru. You might try pulling the fuses one at a time and see if the voltage comes up on the other fuses.

    Woods RD7200 finish mower

If this just started, make sure you don’t have something stuck in on of the v-grooves. Debris gets stuck in a groove and causes a belt to vibrate. Did you take the belt off to check bearing and tension idler play? If not, release the belt and pay careful attention to the tension idler if the...
