Well in this case the devil is in the details....which oils did you mix?

In general as you probably know already it is a bad idea to mix oil types. Furthermore, oil for diesels is different from that used in gasoline engines. Some oil is better than no oil in an emergency. Sounds like you'll have to change oil and filter again asap.

Personally, I would use it as is. If you change the oil, I see no reason to change the filter. It's already mixed with the Kubota oil and holds very little oil in the filter. You might check the extra oil you added. It might be diesel rated. If so you have no reason for concern.

Are you changing the engine oil or the hydraulic oil?

If it were mine and I put 3 litres of mineral diesel oil 10W30 in it and 1 litre of 10W-40 mineral gasoline rated oil in it, it would not be a concern to me. Why, most gas oil is also diesel rated to CF or better these days, which is all yours needs.

But what everyone is asking here, so they may give an evaluated reply is the oil specifics, meaning Brand, Type and weight of both oils used. Also if they are mineral or synthetic.

Everybody would still like to know what you used, but here is the spec for your model. So you can just about throw any standard multigrade in it!

Engine oil : API Service
Classification CF or better
Below 0 °C (32 °F) : SAE10W, 10W-30 or 15W-40
0 to 25 °C (32 to 77 °F): SAE20, 10W-30 or 15W-40
Above 25 °C (77 °F): SAE30, 10W-30 or 15W-40

I think everyone would like to know if you USED a diesel oil or a "gasoline" oil.

There is a difference, but for the short haul - you do not have a problem, personally, pull the plug, drain the oil and start back with your machine demands.

nothing hurt;)

Your engine will not even know the difference..... it does not read the oil-label and will be ignorantly happy with pretty much any lubricant which meets the requirements.

If *YOU* are concerned, after 10 hours or so, change the oil again (leaving the filter on) with the "kubota oil" of your choice to make *YOURSELF* happy.

Actually, Nobody cares what little bit of "other oil" you might have added to your "Kubota oil". I mean, do you think Kubota actually MAKES OIL?
They do not, they merely buy oil from some source and put it in "Kubota" labled bottles. Read the spec, and use ANY OIL with equal specifications.

Unless you put castor bean oil in with the petroleum oils available 99.999% of the options, You are good to go.

Cripes! When is the last time you even heard of an engine failure due to oil brand or type?

Someone will say they "saw" three in the past 10 years, but they work at a service facility and the back story is buried in the bushes,

YES< Motor OIL IS THAT GOOD!

I'm sure Kubota will tell you to fluch it and put kubota oil in it. Know where are the Kubota oil wells? when I told them I wanted a front end loader for my tractor, they told me to get a new tractor. i would love to if they would take $20k off the price.

I think this thread has gone a little off the rails!

You didn't do any damage using 10-30 or 10-40 gasoline oil of any brand name in it.

Rotella is a very good choice, I use it in all my equipment, never an oil issue. :D

Your filling and flushing is way more than you really needed to do, it's good and its done, so now just run it till it's due for another oil change and don't look back. ;)
