Tig welders are great you can weld anything with them but they are the hardest to master. They are great for thin material then change over to stick when it gets thick. I also like gas welding I use to do a lot of that especially brazing and would use propane and oxygen for cutting back in the old days it was cheaper. lincoln tig is what I have. handy

Brazing I haven't even thought of brazing in years. I used to be half decent at it too. Oh and I am ever ever so thankfull that none of my sisters or their husbands or their children own a Kubota. I would be dead meat so fast. Dusty

HA HA! Dusty, the internet is a smal place after all. You never know who's watching you

Every family gathering at the dinner table you will be sitting on edge just hoping none of them googled "kubota" to help you out

WOW - Paul, now that was some great welding porn :D
Crap. Now I got drools all over the keyboard :( We replaced a few mig units for some up comming work. The new 350P is a pulsed spray unit and I just love the thing. The 252 is our general use mig. The old plasma which was a Miller Spectrum 701 and the Millermatic 251 was sold and replaced with the newer stuff.

Paul, I always enjoy hearing about how well you are doing for yourself. You are a hard working man looking to squeeze 25 hours out of a 24 hour day.

When I was looking at the picture of your truck, it seems as if there is an iceberg just above your tail gate out in the distance. Is that really an iceberg? I don't see any snow so I don't think it's a snow covered peak

Will that's a bit of a tough question to answer but I'll say there company machines. The thing is the company consists of two employees which happens to me and my wife. My wife (the boss) takes care of the office stuff while I do the grunt work.

We do automotive, welding, machining, fabricating and even some restoration work and that's why we need the vast amount of tooling around. A slow working week for me is a 60 hour work week and there are weeks that we work much more but it do help pay the bills :D

Here's a few articles that IF you read you'll have a better understanding what we're about.

As for the welder. If I was going to buy and inexpensive stick welder I would look for a ac/dc unit and if I were looking for a mig I would go for a small Miller unit or one of those red ones.

Handyman would be the best here to advise on that topic. I'm more an occasional weldor.

Yes my buddy that's an iceberg. It's off about three miles from the picture and was over a 1/2 mile long. We can have icebergs here long after the snow has gone. It's a real attraction for everyone including the tourists. Here's another shot of another burg while I was out on the wing. This one was over one mile long.I included a few pics of the surroundings as well.
