Yeah you can get all kinds of valve core tools including those little 4 ways with the taps and die on them, valve stem dust caps with the tool on top, double ended with the bigger hvac side on the other side, a 'torque wrench' clicking style etc etc. ALL of them are cheap. I think i bought a 5pack of the screwdriver style for $10 on amazon because i teach tire machines and the students lose 2 or 3 every semester. I used to have the spares in my desk drawer but they're gone now so i guess it's time to order another 5pack. 😂

Learned a lot about metal valve stems and now the difficult part is determining which is the best choice. Here are the 2 choices that I have narrowed it down to. Price isn't a factor, because we are only talking about a $7 difference in the 10-pack of valves. Both say that they are for filled tires. Can you help with the selection? These are to replace the rubber stems when I fill the tires with Rim Guard or some equivalent. The Kex is the First Picture and the full thread is the Hornet second picture. thanks

People always say, "You get what you pay for!" If that old saying is true, buy the more expensive ones! Since I don't really know about which might work better I'd buy the ones advertised for agriculture.

If you're going to just air fill them either will work.
If you're going to fill them with liquid get the second ones.
