...

We really should avoid these kinds of discussions at these forums. I …and most others….come here for real and factual information on Kubota tractors….not hysteria and ignorance on politics and economics.
I'd also appreciate you guys not making fun of my welds so much.

January 2022 we purchased a L2501 HST with quick attach that included a new unused set of 42 inch forks.
Just under 70 hours and was like new. Bucket looked like it had been lightly used and PTO had never been used. Paid $18,500 no tax.
I don't think we could find one for that price now - only 14 months later.
Of course you can't. Build Back Better.

Yep, way overpriced here in Canada. So much so I cancelled my new purchase and decided just gunna keep what I have now and keep maintaining them and fix when the time comes.

Here's a couple examples in Canada's worthless money.....and then add our 13% tax on top of these numbers:

L2502 WITHOUT LOADER starts at $27,751
Grand L6060 cab with loader and rear snow blower $90,000

And I was just in the process of buying an M7060 for 66 grand and it jumped to $72,614 before you even add the loader and with absolutely no changes to that model in years.

And you should see how much the RTV-X1100C went up compared to when I bought mine last year!

No thanks, they can keep them. Just like new atv's. I'm just not that dumb.

Luckily my B2620 and RTV and all my antique tractors do everything I need to do here.

Hey folks, just was pondering after I visited my dealer last week and noticed a BX2380 on the showroom floor. They had a price tag on the ROPS bar. It said original price of $23,800, on sale for $21,800o_Oo_Oo_Oo_O. Loader, 60" deck, and R4 tires. Same exact setup when I bought mine. I looked at my bill of sale when I got home. I paid $18,500. I believe that is almost a 30% increase. I know there's inflation, but geesh. What's even better, they have a location about 20 miles west of this one and their showroom BX2380 said on sale for $21,100.... no wonder both their lots are full of new Kubotas....

Bought my KX040 2020 loaded for $62k. Had a friend looking for one from same dealer and they are now $81k.

At some point, potential buyers will just walk away,... if the item is not an absolute necessity.
I believe that point in time is commonly called....recession!

I bought it on December 28th, 2021, when trying to find ANY new equipment was a tough task( empty lots, delays, etc). I can understand a price increase, but over $5k is a little overkill IMO. As far as cheaper machines someone else mentioned, Kubota was it. Massey was about same, LS was comparable, New Holland and JD were way over $20k at time. And as far as eggs go, they were almost at $6 dozen in January, when I bought some few days ago, they were at $2.86 a dozen…
Don't know if you saw my post, but the 'bota I put money down on and ordered in Dec.21 went up $8k by the time it came in in Nov. 2022. Want to help stop inflation. Stop buying stuff, particularly new stuff. When the market is full and demand is low prices will come down.

I farm chickens / eggs. A little off topic, but just FYI, Avian Flu is NOT killing millions of birds. The government is killing millions of birds in their attempt to control the disease. See any parallels with any other mistakes our government has recently made?
Yup! Government is paying producers to kill all their birds if any get sick. See the connection!?

Yeah, I'm in need of 2 used cars right now. Been putting it off for a couple of years. I told myself I wouldn't even look again until April. Who the heck is buying all of this stuff at these prices?

People believe that the value of the dollar is going to plummet, so they are buying now before their dollars are worthless. Our government is fueling inflation to devalue the dollar to make paying back the national debt with cheaper dollars. Tell me what other country just keeps printing money without causing the devaluing of the dollar?

For what I just paid for a new min-ex, I'd have to say yes and no. They are getting way too much for stuff now. However, all the brands are that way now and parts/accessories are freaking insane. But, when you need them, you need them.

According to my research for a new mini-ex, Kubota wasn't the highest priced for similar sized machines. It was approx 3rd-4th behind Cat, Deere, Bob Cat and possibly Yanmar. Others like Sany, weren't all that far behind Kubota in price (maybe 10% less).

Accessories:
Mini-ex bucket pin - $270
Min-ex pedal kit - $300
Grading bucket - $1,300 ish

:(

Germany did it in 1923,..... just before my dad emigrated to the USA.
It was then described as needing a wheelbarrow full of money just to buy a newspaper!

Paid $20,000 for a BX2680 June 2022. Quick hitch bucket, 54” deck, turf tires. $23,000 out the door with their high dollar set up fee and taxes. Was going to get the 2380, but the dealer called us and told us the 2680 just got delivered that was ordered before a price hike. It was about the same price as the 2380 we were originally looking at.

I went to 2 different dealers this week, priced out exactly the same tractor, got 2 different prices almost $6000 difference on same tractor. The lower price dealer discounted the base tractor and each item I added. The other dealer told me their was no discounts to be had.I wasted my time getting the 2nd quote, but also realized never to do business with that dealer.

You need to go back and look at the charts to see where the economy was. Even with the Covid dip, the economy was on the upswing until Nov 2020. I get it ... that's a lot of trouble to find out you are wrong. ;).

Almost everything in the popular media was a lie for the past few years. It's coming out ... just slowly.
money suppy + time = inflation
