    Omg,what went wrong,filter ruptured

I'm a little heartsick, and not sure if I have destroyed my tractor,or what's the cause. Anyone who follows this board prob knows I rebuilt the hst on my tractor, and have around 20 hrs of flawless operation since. Also added a loader, put a good 5 hrs without a problem. Then tonight. Snowed all...

    Chains,link spacing

Thinking my next step is to load the rears and invest in some chains. I've had traditional twist link, and v bar in the past on other tractors, and I think the v bar are well suited to my gravel drive. Like the smoother ride of single link spacing, but not sure there is a traction advantage,and...

    Brake set up & differential

Does the manner I witch the brakes are set up affect the performance of the differential? Rear hubs facing inwards

    I've further confused myself: tires

In a post below,I was warned a slight variance in tire size in a 4x4 tractor can put undue strain on the drivetrain, makes sense ,right. I also read somewhere on the web ,if any variance must be had, the rears should lag behind the fronts,so the front in effect is pulling.in my manual,for...

    Turfs are useless to me

The rears on my b1750 are 31x13.3x15. I quickly learned yesterday they pug with dirt very quickly, and I imagine they will be the same in snow.certainly don't need the width. I don't want ags,as I will be crossing the lawn frequently, but not going to mow with it so don't need turfs. I'm wondering...

    Snowblower size

Now that I have my b1750 working I'm looking ahead to snowblowing. I have a 48" Argo trend that worked good on my old b6100,but thinking the b1750 could handle a bit more,at least 54" ,or maybe 60",or should I stick with the 48"?

    B1750 update,I won

So it's been awhile but bottom line,I learned a lot,and tractor is back together and working well. I bought another trany from a member here who was kind enough to ship it to me. It was out of a f2400, and the older style, and fit fine, just had to change one gear as it had a different tooth...

    Nasty split

Just venting. Trying to split my b1750 so I can pull the hst and have a look, had oi about a inch or so apart but something was hanging up. Turned out to be the link for the hydro pedal I missed. Been over an hour trying to get the pin out of it,man, what a place to get into!

    Cross referencing for parts

So now I seem to be in the market for a tranny for the b1750. I have identified the tranny as part # 66415-11600, subs to h6640-10600. Is there a way I can identify what other models may use this tranny so I can widen my search?

    B1750 update,next step?

So I got the new to be b1750 home, and as expected hydrostatic slows down after a short time mowing. I changed the hydro oil and filter,no improvement. No surprise but was worth a try I guess. I have downloaded a workshop manual . What's the logical next step?
