    Bx2200 tires

I called two local dealers to get prices, both quoted the exact same amount. Neither included mounting or wheels, this is just out the door tires. I was sent to the parts department by both dealerships. "Bar" type $672 Turf type $512 I do not use the tractor to mow with. I don't drive it on...

    Bx2200 tires

I have the OEM stock turf tires on my BX2200. I priced ag tires from my dealer and after I could breath again, I came here... Front: 18x8.5x8 Rear: 26x12x12 Anyone had any luck matching up after market tires? I know the pit falls of not getting the front/rear ratio correct. And the little...

    Need Advice

Thanks for posting this. I have thought about chains on my BX2200 many times. Now I know where to buy them, and where NOT to!

    Stuck / un-stuck

This was my first year, it did much better than I thought with the terf savers! But I need to go with ag and see what that gets me. Mostly for the spring mud. It is rare that we have more than six inches at a time here in Southern Indiana. We had freezing rain and ice before the snow fall this...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Flash flood really rutted our drive. It also overpowered our culvert and sent water rushing over the top. Washed a lot of rock. Using the back blade and bucket repaired the ruts. Using the bucket I hauled large chunks of concrete from a neighbors demo project to reinforce the culvert area...

    Big deal, easy fix

Lost front wheel drive on my BX2200. Found this out by getting hung up in the snow. That's a big problem this time of year with snow and turf tires. Turns out the front U Joint had come off. The roll pin that holds it on the drive shaft was never hammered through, it was just stuck in the...

    Cheap "block heater"

My garage is lightly insulated but even so, 20 minutes with the torpedo heater gets things warmed pretty well. That is my plan for this winter anyway. It has always worked with my other equipment. I used a dip stick heater about 30 years ago. They really are not designed for heating up a...

    BX2200 3-point hitch kit question

I put my blade on for the first time this weekend. I may have cursed a time or two myself. I was pretty sure it was not going to fit for about the first 20 minutes. It's on and working fine. I may never take it off...

    tires, chains...

Chains on just the front for the winter are one of my thoughts. I was considering something like this on the front? http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-18X8-50-10-4P-OTR-Garden-Master-Tires-Lug-R-4-R4-PAIR-Loader-Skid-18x8-5-10-/272690854581?hash=item3f7da43ab5:g:YIIAAOSw2GlXIVbD And leave the back as...

    tires, chains...

My BX2200 has lawn tires on it. I would like to have some better traction year round, but can't really justify new tires yet. Can I just replace the front tires with a more aggressive pattern? I do plan to use the tractor to help clear snow off the gravel driveway. Will I need chains...

    Post hole auger size?

Just to piggy back on this topic a little. I know my BX2200 has limited 3 point lift. What do I need to look for in an auger? How do I know I could clear the ground with it?

    4ft blade?

Some resolution. I finally made it over to see the guy with the 4 foot blade. I have known him for a very long time, he was one of my high school teachers. He had the blade sitting out, it had been in his barn for years. It was bought for a BX like mine many years ago. But it was never...

    Chainsaw Holder?

My ballast box works as my carry all. Been looking at ways to add better storage to it. You guys have given me some ideas.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Removed the last of a fallen tree from Hurricane IKE! Cut the rotted trunk into sections and chained them to the bucket for removal. Then to my surprise was able to completely remove the root wad and level the area the tree had once stood. Changed the engine oil and topped off everything...

    4ft blade?

Been offered a deal on a four foot rear blade. Is that good for my BX2200 or is it too small? Also can the tractor handle a 5ft grader box?

    L3901 in the drink.

All I want to say is I understand. And that I'm glad you are OK. I need to check my home owners policy.

    BX2200 oil?

While I am at it. My neighbor is a Kubota owner, he works his tractors pretty hard. He advised Rotella 15W40 in my engine. I plan to use the tractor to haul wood from the barn all winter, one or two trips a week. Would I be better off going 10W30 for the winter? My manual doesn't even...

    BX2200 oil?

I have been told I can just replace the filter on the rear end of the tractor with very little fluid loss? The oil in the back of the tractor looks good and clean. But the filter looks like it has been on there awhile. Thought I might just replace it? Then just top off what I loose?

    Bx2200

I bought it! Starts easy. Fan in the back was intact. Oil in rear end looks good, oil in engine is due a change. Spent a hour on it yesterday missing with the bucket, moving some limbs, scraping some rock on the drive. All I could find wrong was easy fixes. Both rear lights on the rollover...
