    My Big Lawn Mower!

Very nice, happy for you! Funny you mentioned trimming. Just last evening the DeWalt 20V with the pole hedge trimmer made its rounds again.

    This Doesn’t Look Right!

That O-ring was to keep paint out of the cylinder seal.. Served no purpose after the cylinder was painted.. Toss it.

    Any idea?

It looks like you parked it on a spot that isn't level and the front axle pivoted slightly. When you say "this happened", what is "this"? The front axle won't bend. Is the wheel bent?

    Any idea?

Not familiar with what the "before" looked like.

    Daily Chuckle

Now that you mentioned it, i recall seeing YouTube vids about "hot tent camping". That must be it.

Grass rows, are very annoying how to avoid? Using the MMM.

Since you already have the equipment, I'm not sure what you can do without changing something. I've had a couple rear discharge RFM's that distributed the clippings better and eliminated the rows. Back when I was using side discharge decks, there were a few times that the clippings were so bad...

    Kubota B3030 Air Conditioner

IF it turns out to be unwanted flow through the heater core, check the routing of the existing heater lines. The parts diagram doesn't show a three-way valve for the heater. That leads me to believe you should be able to install one simple valve. When I built a cab for my L3200 I added a...

    finishing mower

My pick has been a rear discharge rear finish mower for the last four tractors. The current mower is a 7-1/2' pulled with an L4240HSTC with filled rear tires. I always mow with the loader removed and it takes less than 1-1/2 hours to do our 3-1/2 acres. Some people prefer the mower to be...

Is this to good to be true?

Can't say anything about the validity, but Google came up with this: https://caseihagrictwoodburry.com/search/ Their L5740 is about half what I'd expect it to be. Strange stuff.

    Pto won’t stay engaged

Just a guess but I'd check the PTO switch itself. Sounds like it is making contact as long as you're holding it. How difficult would it be to access the switch - or a plug in the harness?

    Considering a L5030 HSTC

My tractor has those telescoping arms and they're handy. It looks like someone fiddled with the right one (double-nutted bolt). They may not want to slide in and out easily with that rust. It's worth the effort to free them up. Here's a screenshot that shows the parts. Some parts are...

With the engine cool, give it a partial turn, then push down and continue to turn it.

    Considering a L5030 HSTC

My BIL next door has a Woods RD990X on his L4740HSTC that's a real beast. He bought it almost 8 years ago and keeps it maintained and out of the weather. It will last a lifetime. It will cut up to 7" high. That kind of quality doesn't come cheap. They're close to $8K new.

    Box Trailer BX23S

One thing to pay attention to is tiedowns. We had a bunch of enclosed trailers at work and none of them had factory tiedowns that I'd trust. Some were cheap lightweight flush rings with wood screws into the plywood floor.

    L3650 Loader Trouble When Lowering

Raise the loader a couple feet. Push the joystick forward and when you hit what feels like the stop, push with more force. If the float position hasn't been used, it may take a good shove. Just don't get crazy. Crazy is bracing yourself against the ROPS and using both feet:)

    Brake problems

hd6b stops on a hill. Many good reasons to stop. Fawn in the way, cell phone popped out of the pocket, sudden discovery of a rock. He isn't setting up a camp, reading the newspaper or jumping off to take a dump. It's reasonable to believe the tractor should stay put as long as a foot is...

    HST drain plug thread size?

Been using a Home Depot mixing tub. The tub itself is great. Tried pouring from that to 5 gallon buckets. Yep. Spilled some. Then used a small plastic bucket to bail it out. Less than satisfactory. Bought a small pump to try next time. May even try dropping the suction tube into the...

    Rear discharge MMM for tractors.

Years ago my in-laws had a John Deere mower that looked a lot like a zero turn, but didn't turn quite that tight. The engine was behind the rider and the deck was in front so the machine ran over the fresh cut grass. The deck was rear discharge and it didn't do a very nice job. The cut looked...
