    Daily Chuckle

Oops. Can't count. I thought I saw six 6"s. How about another attempt? Let me 'splain the pattern I see: 2 added to 2 = 4. four is written down and two more "4's" added to the right make it 444 2 added to each 4 makes it 666. two more "6's" added to the right make it 66666 2 added to...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I went with a plain small Harbor Freight tool bag. It holds misc pins, clips and tools. It fits behind the seat. No painting to match, no drilling holes or fussing with clamps and no worries about being weatherproof. Cab takes care of that:)

RESOLVED: L2501, using backhoe to carry rocks, got jammed, now hydraulics are stuck?

VERY soon after buying a new L3200 in2012, one moment of carelessness resulted in a small dent in the LF corner of the hood. In the 6 or 7 years that I owned the tractor I don't recall doing any other damage and that includes swinging pieces of steel around and welding for the cab fab.

    Daily Chuckle

That was for sissies. Mom always used merthiolate. She believed that in order to be effective, the treatment had to burn like crazy. Good Samaritan Ointment was an exception to that rule. With these two things and maybe a bottle of Sea Breeze and a metal box of the old gauze Band Aids (whose...

L4701 HST - Brake pedals sticking together

Don't take offense, but did you flip the tab that locks the pedals together? EDIT: Sorry. Just re-read the first post and it said " as if the connecting bar was engaged…but it’s not. " Some days I'm not very observant:(

QH Installed Backwards After 20-ish Years

D2 - It is for back dragging only. The rake itself doesn't rotate 360°. Except for removing the wheels, it wasn't modified and can still be used on the 3PH. Geo - Glad I finally found a use for the one I had in storage. The QH is about as necessary as the Ruger Speed Strip Kit. Runs -...

QH Installed Backwards After 20-ish Years

Pretty sure that it was bought for my third tractor (and first Kubota) that I bought new in 2002. All the forum chatter convinced me I needed one. I ended up like the dog who chased cars for years and finally caught one - once I had it the interest died. In a recent conversation the topic of...

    Hey, Dummy

" Apparently I can't always tell the difference between yellow and white" That's the bad part. They are marked:) In my defense, the shed was a little dark after coming in from the bright sunshine.

    Foundation Drainage Maintenance Question

Sure would be good to know what it is for starters. Also where it originated. It would be disturbing if it was starting to fill the foundation drains. With that run it would be possible to run a camera through it. Since you had to chop it out, I'm doubting that a water jet would work.

    Hey, Dummy

Yep, me. Apparently I can't always tell the difference between yellow and white. My loader is not on the tractor unless I'm using it. Otherwise it's in the shed in front of the tractor. The weather today was nice enough to get out and start some fab work and the loader was part of it. I...

Hydraulics are too fast, or Im too slow

If you haven't had a lot of experience operating the hydraulics, maybe it's just a matter of becoming more familiar with them. Try being more gentle with the controls and see if that helps.

    Blade lower on one side

ASSUMING the description is accurate (Blade is lower, not that side of the deck is lower). Are both ends of that blade the same distance from the ground? Visualizing that the blade hit something and bent one side down. Less likely is something could have come loose on the top side? Nut...

A simple attachment for direct burial cable?

I have a subsoiler that's been used several times to loosen the ground. My L4240 won't pull it at anything near full depth here. When my parents wanted power to a shed maybe 100' away from their house I rented a walk-behind trencher for 1/2 day at a local hardware store. It made a nice clean...

    1640a loader float?

Since the word PUT is used in lieu of HOLD it may mean that the stick should remain in float position without assistance. Before getting the snow blade on my tractor I used the loader and a rear blade for snow removal. When using the loader I'd float it. It was nice to have the joystick hold...

Will the FDR1672 hold up to an L4701, or should I go with the FDR2584?

Congrats. If you're mowing anything over 2 acres you'll be glad for that extra width.

Will the FDR1672 hold up to an L4701, or should I go with the FDR2584?

The gauge wheel yoke and blade spindle assembly appear to have the same part numbers for both decks mentioned. I guess when installed on a wider deck they are more robust;)

Will the FDR1672 hold up to an L4701, or should I go with the FDR2584?

Why would HP matter when cutting grass? I could see concern if you're bush hogging saplings and scalping dirt. Having a few more horses than needed doesn't mean that they will be applied. I've owned a couple Land Pride decks and wouldn't be afraid of any of them. If you have a considerable...
