The daughter's skull re-attachment/insertion seems to be successful and so far the neurologist has not added the shunt. Hopefully she will improve and it will not be necessary.

And this morning my wife had a successful aortic heart valve replacement. She is feeling fine and hopefully will be able to leave ICU tomorrow and come home.

Super - - best wishes to both of the gals, and you as well...

Great news Magicman. Situations like that sure put life in perspective. All the challenges mentioned on a tractor forum become just nuisances, not problems.

Thank you guys for the prayers, well wishes, and likes. She was #2 on the valve replacement schedule this morning. We wondered why it was late and later found out that #1 had not been successful. His aortic valve had calcified too much for it to be expanded enough for the new valve to be properly inserted, so back to the drawing board for him.

Thankfully Pat's was a classic procedure and sent smoothly. Of course there was no pain and she was already feeling the effects of the increased blood flow when I left this afternoon. (y)

Everything has gone perfectly with the heart valve replacement and we left the hospital at ~12:00 noon. She is home and will be on sorta limited duty for a couple of weeks so my sawmilling has been postponed for now. No matter because it is mostly too wet anyway.

My mom had the same procedure with the skull. Originally lost part of her eyesight as well. Within a few months her eyesight came back 100% like it was, and now she drives dad around. Dad's got AO-induced diabetes, which has affected his eyes, thus he isn't fit to drive, so when mom had her deal, my brother and I were making plans as to what to do with them.

Hang in there.

Thank You and that is encouraging. It would be life changing if she could regain at least part of her eyesight, but for now we are thankful that she still has her life.

Bed had to be changed this morning. (always every Monday)

Separate the darks from the whites and load the clothes washer.

After the whites are washed, move them over to the drier, and fill the washer with darks.

Fold the dried sheets for next week and then move the darks over to the drier.

After the darks are dried, I'll fold them and put them away.

Now, what will it be for lunch? It seems that a woman's work is never done.

Ha, the load of sheets have been washed and folded.

Those are "king" size sheets and that is a fitted sheet on the bottom. ;) More whites drying and darks being washed so I am on a roll.

You must have been in the military, Magicman. The routine, the discipline... The ability to fold a fitted sheet...
