I don't ride the Yamaha anymore but still have it with 97,000 Km. Shaft drive like the 1100 in the first post.

I ride the BMW quite a bit. 187,000 Km on that one.
She doesn't need much maintenance, doing a valve check and plug change for Spring at the moment.

In the old days I rode a BMW, and I may have mentioned it here previously. Took the BMW to Spain on a freighter and rode it to southeast Asia...took me 7 months.

I only had motorcycles and rode year round. First car at around age 25.

After my kids were born I decided to increase my odds and quit riding bikes. It was a slow withdrawal...but I succeeded eventually. I have been motorcycle free for almost 50 years now.

Replaced motorcycles for a taste in beer gradually. ONLY beer though.

NOW I ride my three Kubotas... :ROFLMAO: Wife not so much...:oops:

PS: Stop showing those photos of beautiful BMWs. Makes my heart pound too much!

Been on some type of bike since my Yamaha 125 Enduro in the 70's.
My 1st real 2 wheeler (after my 175 Lambretta) was a 250 Enduro (probably 71). I also bought my wife a 125, she learned to ride it but never got her license :(
This was my favorite through the years for serious long distance riding:

The last mods were radar detector (handlebar mount) and garmin on the dash. Put over 150k miles her, never let me down.

I need to learn how to post pics. I'm loving all this bike porn.
My road bike is a BMW K12RS.
For trails a Yamaha WR450F, the K 250F if a motocross beast that I need to sell before it kills me.
For trials a Gasgas 280, super fun even going zero mph.
For the track I still have my Honda 600RR. I do have street plastics with lights and such, but it's been a track dedicated bike for so long I don't see it ever being on the street again.
Project bikes are a Kawasaki '76 Z1 900 (put together but needs a coil and electrical work)
and a '68 Triumph in boxes that my dad took apart to paint the frame and never put back together.

Last I did was sell it a couple years ago.

2005 HD FXDI. Hadn’t had a bike since a Yamaha Fazer in the ‘80’s.

Sometimes I miss it. So many cell phone zombies on the road turned me off. I had a couple close calls due to idiots. Also had a few friends with serious problems. One lost his wife in an accident while he was the pilot.

I used to have a V-Star 650. Gave it up when I bought the mile long dirt road. Six years of improvements later, decided it was time again and upgraded to a V-Star 950

2006 Suzuki DRZ400S bought new in 2008. Pretty reliable machine. Added a front sprocket with one extra tooth to get highway RPMs down. Changed lower suspension links to lower the ride by 1.5". It has an aftermarket luggage rack.
I cleaned and oiled the chain the other day and rode it a couple of times.

Honda VT100. Even with only a 4 speed this was a great highway hauler !
Sold to help pay for the new furnace. Gone 5 years and I have the itch to get another ride.

Recently swapped the original factory rear nobby and front Deathwing tires for Bridgestone TW203/TW204 tires.

Nowadays I'm on a Yamaha XT-225...gave up road riding and stay in the dirt where it is a lot safer. This shot is at Kanab Point north of the Grand Canyon. The red Honda is an official US government vehicle - I met a Park Ranger patrolling on this thing and we rode all day together. Those two little bars above the headlight are blue and red strobe lights, this is a police bike! (The Ranger took my photo here.)

Me having fun in December 1969 on my Yamaha DT-250 Enduro. I was in the Navy then so I'm wearing my Navy "boondockers" shoes and Navy foul weather jacket to go with my sparkly blue helmet. Note the custom front fender I built out of aluminum from a scrapped rocket pod...and the fork brace because those forks would twist every which way without a brace.

Seein pics of y'alls bikes makes me want to go dig the Zuma out.

Unfortunately with the ice/sleet/stuff on the ground, I can't really ride it. But I can get it started back up again. Been sitting a month or so.

Been riding some kind of 2 wheeler or 4 wheeler since I was knee-high to a grasshopper. I've had more bikes over the years than I can shake a stick at.

'06 FJR1300 (exactly like the one in the pic above)-bought with a trashed engine, wanted to fix it but a guy wrecked his and wanted mine for parts. I couldn't not sell it to him. Good guy and I knew it went to a good purpose (get him back on the road). That guy rides more'n anyone I know, he's got over 220,000 miles on his now, bought it in 2014, took a break from 16-18 (military) and in 18 he crashed hard on the pig trail, and then I sold him mine for parts. Besides I don't really fit the "biker" persona. I love to ride but some of the guys that I met up with at rallies were just, well, different. Dunno how else to explain. To each his own, and I respect each and every one of you who still ride!

STill have the zuma, and I ride it. 03 YW50R, silver (no pics), 12,000 miles on it, give or take a few hundred. 2 stroke. 70cc big bore, 19mm carb, Yasuni pipe, clutch mods, runs about 60mph if everything is right. Had some kid in a camaro pull up beside me locally and rolled the window down and says "you wanna race"....sure, to the other side of the intersection, 200' or so. Buried him, but he blew past me not long after. I use it around town, and I load it into the trailer and it goes to the drag strip with me as a pit ride-and occasionally goes down the track, not with me on it though. Guy I know loves to race but can't use his left foot that well to race a bike, so I drag it up there with me and he'll race it in the motorcycle class for fun. I have a different cylinder here (race), and an Overrange clutch kit, and different pipe--ain't put all that on yet, but I'll have to get a crankshaft. The stock crank kind gets weak above 10,000 RPM, and I'm already able to get 12,600 max out of it, and the race ported cylinder and pipe will get me up around 15,000, so the factory crank won't last long. Plus aftermarket cranks are cut a little different which helps move air/fuel from the crankcase through the transfer ports, bit more power. Stock they are 4hp. Right now I'm at about 10-11. After all the rest of the "new" mods, should be up closer to 20.

YZFR1 had about 180hp, that was the most HP bike I rode on a regular basis. I worked at a dealer at the time and that bike was traded in with 1800 miles when I got it. Didn't keep it long either. Sounded great, just too much bike to ride practically. Top of 1st gear was 78mph. I think 105 is the fastest I had it. I just don't ride hard. When I worked at the dealer (also Kubota dealer, keeping it Kubota related...), I met this gal that was an immigrant from Czech, she came in cryin her eyes out because her bike broke down and wanted to know if I could run & pick it up to fix it. Sure. That's what I do. We hit it off. She had a 05 V-Star 650, AND a 04 Sportster 1200. The Sportster didn't have many miles on it, at the time the 650 had I think 3600. She rode, alone most of the time. I asked her why she didn't ride the sportster and she said after you fix my yamaha we can go ride together and you'll see why. She was right. Vibrating, noisy, hot powerless and ill-handling thing. It was, however, a Harley, but that was all I liked about it. After kinda getting to know her better we hit it off and dated for a couple years, rode everywhere (around here, up in the hills, pig trail, out into Oklahoma and into New Mexico twice, etc). Had a great time the two of us riding the little 650. Many say it's underpowered but I never had any issue, even riding two-up. With her being just over 100 lbs, and me being about 200, it did slow it down a little but we never was in a hurry anyway. Great gal, kinda miss hanging out with her. Classy, fun, down to earth, and being foreign, I learned a LOT about their outlook on things that "we" take for granted.
