Tried out the new to me blade with the B3200 on the driveway. Did OK pulling in rock from the edges and pulling a bit off the crown but I had a real struggle doing a final grade with it and keeping the blade from digging in. Ended up back dragging the entire drive to get it smooth. May look at getting a land plane and see if that helps. I just noticed in the photo that I can loosen the blade and slide it out so when angled it is outside the rear wheel that may help as well.

Was able to spend a hour moving some dead/dying Scots Pines.
With no additional clay soil brought in for my little wildlife pond/scrape it holds water for a few days after a rain. I intend to let settle till next spring and then truck in clay.

The B3200 is not getting as much seat time since the 1500 arrived and is doing mowing. After grading out the driveway, I greased all fittings on the 3200. 1700 was done the prior weekend. Will be knocking down several acres of overgrown fields with the brush hog in the next few weeks so the 3200 will get some lovin.

I got to try out the woodland mills stump grinder last night. I got 7 old stumps done in slightly over an hour. Most were on the smaller side and quite old. I happened to see a little baby turtle running for its life while grinding one of the stumps...that was a bit of a surprise.

I ordered it on 8/6. It was delivered 9/28. So, a bit on the slow side but no hiccups whatsoever. I had to take 4" off of the PTO shaft. I looked at the instructions, but they didn't mention anything about testing the length at full height on 3 point. That was my shortest dimension so I cut the shaft accordingly. If you are using a quick hitch setup, you likely could use the full length shaft (34"). Adjusting the slip clutch was a piece of cake and checking torque specs on the cutting teeth took a bit of time and some tool "creativity".

It was very well crated and the resulting steel crate will be converted into:

1) the stump grinder storage/rolling caddy
2) another nice steel framed shooting table

...so, there's that.

I think they build a nice product and I would seriously consider getting one of their chippers...they seem to be at a decent price with lots of useful features.

Got my strobe brackets today from Paul and Kathy Short. I needed a bracket that wouldn’t raise my height and Kathy sent me all the links to their products including what I needed. Then she found me a link to strobes that would ship in U.S. I can’t say enough about their help. Paul answered all my questions. This is the way business used to be conducted! I miss the 1960’s and ‘70’s.

Thanks Kathy and Paul for taking the time with me.

Loaded up the trailer with scrap metal from the farm. In the process, found a yellow jacket nest. Dad was trying to get away from it cause I stirred it up unintentionally with the grapple, but he got caught up in barb wire fencing. Thankfully, neither of us got stung. I was able to quickly get him cut free using the wire cutters I keep on my belt. Dad thought I was a little crazy to carry wire cutters, but they had come in handy a few different time and after today, I bet you he will be looking for a pair to carry on his belt.
