Take some pictures we like pictures of shiny new tractors. Congrats! Loving my new l2501 just hit 26 hours after 40 days
Already took a few pics. Just gotta get the post count up first.

When I saw the rollback pass by the driveway with all that orange on the back of it, I'll admit it, I was a bit giddy. No where as excited as my 5 year old when he saw it. Every day its, " can we work on the tractor when you get home from work?" He will enjoy all the projects lined up for this weekend.

Installed a relay on the B1700 after troubleshooting an intermittent starting issue. Thanks to Dave_eng for the tips and link to hooking it up. The problem was in one of the three safety switches which was sending less than 12V to the starter so it would not engage. A 2 pack of relays, harness and inline fuses was under 20 bucks online. Three new switches would be over 180 with tax not to mention shipping if needed. Took about an hour to install and she starts now every time. Installed the relay on the back of the metal plate that separates the engine from the fuel tank. Give it a bit of protect from the heat off the exhaust manifold. I am now intimate with the starting circuitry of this machine and it is good.

My best friend had a shed that he replaced and needed the old one knocked down. In our younger days, we would have just tackled it by hand. Yet, being older, lazier, and having the right tools for the job, tackled it with the tractor and grapple. The L3560 made short work of the project and we had no sore muscles.

Finally got my boxblade this morning. It had been dry but we got some rain over the past few days so I'm going to try it out on the driveway this afternoon.

Gave the driveway a scrape and then decided to widen it out. 20200904_163053.jpg 20200904_163138.jpg

A black walnut in the front is shedding limbs like crazy. Another one came down last night so I got a strap under it, hooked that to the 3pt. mower frame to get it off the ground and drug it up the hill to a weed patch to hopefully kill it off.

Oh and I mowed last week for only the 4th time this Summer. Drove it down to the station to get diesel the other day and forgot my damned mask!!! Had to drive home to get one as the diesel pump doesn't take cards.

Todays project. New parking pad for the truck. 14'x30' on the south end of the house. Our wind is usually north or north west in the winter and we are about 3 miles off of the Gulf if St. Lawrence so not a lot of windbreak in the winter and the truck will catch a lot of snow. Eventually, I would like to put up a building behind the existing shed. On another note. I'm loving the box blade. 20200905_161512.jpg

Installed a bosch oil pressure gauge and copper lines with the metric adapter to the engine block.. 40 psi at idle and around 55 at 2500 rpm or so..

Wrapped the copper line with electric tape around any parts that could rub against metal.. will wrap it with fuel line later had some yard work to do before the rain started

Broke out the B3200 to carry some topsoil and trees that needed planting. Nothing like Ohio clay after a week without significant rain. F10D7220-E83E-4450-9E37-BF3A2593716F.jpeg 0093E69E-AA41-44F2-AB22-3DFEC0124D35.jpeg DFDAE2D2-19F8-4DD3-9F48-5524C38E2FB4.jpeg

I spent three hours knocking down/ pulling Scot pines out that died due to pine wilt. My property was at one time a Christmas tree plantation and back then Scot pines were what was planted. It took a bit to get the right technique down to push them over and then grab them with the grapple and yank the roots still left in the ground. Thankfully they do not have deep roots and my soil is sandy. This area that is now cleared was very thick with them. Certainly not as fast as a forest mulching head such as a Fecon on a skid steer but I enjoy every minute on the tractor. I should have taken a before picture! Also the only picture I have of the tractor and I was a trail cam photo as I was on my way to the unit I was working on.

We went to the farm and did some tree trimming. My dad hopped on my tractor and was carrying brush to the pile while I was up in the man basket trimming.

Installed my strobe brackets from Paul Short. Still thinking how I want to wire into hazard lights. I did some calculating using some assumptions to make sure the circuit could handle the additional load.

Jacked up the loader arms and took the rock bucket off, unhooked the finish mower and chained it to the Pasquali to drag it out of the way.

All preparatory to winching the dead beast up onto a trailer and hauling it to the dealer to find out why it's not getting fuel.

Diagnosed (properly I hope) problem with erratic glow plug action as glow plug controller failure. Ordered new controller and unplugged relay so I can use tractor until part comes in. Hopefully, glow plugs aren't burnt out.
