Used my home made fork extensions to pull my 60 gallon diesel storage tank/cart out of my shed.. with about 30 gallons of diesel in it, probably in the 340 pound range at the end of the 6 foot forks.. did not feel tippy when I first had all the weight on it so I proceeded with the load.. the diesel cart was on top of the 2 other carts that I removed separately as they weight in the 400 pound area and I felt it would be to much weight that far out.. that and less chance of the diesel cart possibly rolling off even though it was strapped to the other two carts..

The last picture is the end result.. and to get more storage space in my little shed for gasoline and push mower storage

You can see the pallet full of gasoline cans and a few diesel cans..
Did you ever leave a store without buying a gas can ? :)

the only gas cans I ever bought at a store were the 2 yellow diesel ones at kmart in the Florida keys a week before a hurricane was supposed to come.. it never did.. and they were on sale..

All my other ones I bought at yard sales for a buck or 2..

Started to mow and heard what sounded like marbles or rocks. Looked down and smoke coming from the mower deck. image.jpg image.jpg
Determined the spindle by the discharge was locked up. Off with the deck and disassembly and out with the spindle. Looks like the grease has not been getting to the lower bearing for some time. Local dealer has both seals and bearings in stock. Will pay him a visit in the morning and pick them up for a rebuild. Starting to storm so I need to get it in the garage and that spindle down to the workbench to disassemble. Hopefully I have it back together in the morning and am mowing before the storms roll in

Dad and I mowed, took us a little over an hour with us both mowing. Then we tore into some old fence line and started clearing brush and some trees that had grown up in it.

Picked up the new bearings and seals. Also got a 20 Ton press to assist with the reassembly. Worked great. Mower is back on and mowing done. Nice and quiet now

Came in handy yesterday as well when I replaced the cat/exhaust manifold on my son's 2014 Outback. The replacement part was a bit narrower than the original. Popped that jack out of the press and used it to spread the two flanges apart a good .25". Once I did that, it went in place without any fuss. Used that press 2x in less than 24 hrs. It's paid for itself in time saved.

Finished grubbing rocks out of the ditch line and then backfilled the resulting low spots with half-composted wood chips. I'll let it Winter over like that and look at it again in the Spring. It'll probably need a load of decent fill to bring it back up to something resembling grade.

Another amazing summer day in the woods in Michigan, clearing for a woodland food plot, L3901 runs the chipper to clear and tidy up the debris after running the Kubota track loader with a heavy front end cutter through the area. Next task will be the MX5800 with a large 84" rake to level things out.

They were digging the ditches along the dirt road of my buddies house. He asked them if he could have several loads of dirt to fill in low areas of lawn. They said "You are a taxpayer... how many do you want?"

Long story short.... He asked me to help smear the dirt around with my G5200 with DR driveway grader. After several hours of dragging, the result was nice and level ready for seeding and a lawn.

Did the steering shaft boot fix recommended by Paul Short. Looks like Kubota slit the boot to maybe help alleviate the problem but it looks like mine was starting to get twisted with only 3.5 hrs on the tractor.

Used a grease compatible with rubber.

Happy to hear it worked out. I’ve seen those boots wound up so bad they were completely out of the floor. Happy Tractoring..............Paul

Move a couple of stumps that I had dug out a couple months ago. They look a lot bigger in the buck than they did when I dug them out.

Dave -if you meant 046, you had a good saw to take care of it. Only 2 bigger in Stihl. Heck, the current equivalent of your saw is $1,200 new now. Can’t imagine what the 6xx or 8xx cost....

Now, if you meant 028, that little cuss did some yeoman's work!

Looks like a softwood(?); all the better...

That’s just an amazing job! Good for you!

I just picked up a new Stihl MS 880 with a 36" and 25" bars/chain. MS880 36" was just over $2K + tax

Finished greasing it. Started last Sunday and broke the grease gun halfway through. We're in a drought so no grass to mow and getting close to the three month mark waiting for my box blade to come in so it's sitting pretty with nothing to do.

We did some more fence clearing at the farm today.

Here is a before picture

Here are some after pictures, we still have more work to do, but dad and nephew was ready to stop. Since dad is turning 74 tomorrow, I figured it was alright to let him knock off a little early today.
