Thats not correct, a properly adjusted parking brake (DRUM BRAKES INCLUDED) will stop the vehicle from rolling forward or backward. I use my parking brake on my 1979 Pick-up daily
NOPE!
Absolutely NO parking brake will stop ANY vehicle from rolling, when the rear wheels are not touching the ground, as was the case in that video!

Have to disagree... I KNOW of one that did.
The parking brake on my '57 Willys 4WD locked both fronts and rears up real solid....

My 1967 Ford F-350 had a micro brake lever on the dash that would lock up all 4 wheels for winching. A hard pull still couldn't get the wheels to turn, but you could put a flat spot on the tires if you tried hard enough. https://www.mico.com/products/lever-lock-0
Interesting:
I had a 1972 1210 4x4 Intl. Travelall with 392 V-8, that I used to pull my boat.
It scared me every time I went to a steep launch ramp with my 6,000 lb. trailer load.
I bought the "Mico Lock" system, and added it to the Travelall.
It locked all 4 brakes, and I never again worried about the whole rig taking a salt water bath.
Travelall is long gone,...but I think the "Mico Lock" system is still on a shelf in my barn somewhere.

I don’t know Your Age…but 1979 is not “older” …in my book.

Virtually ALL the cars I owned prior to 1969 could be backed up with the parking brake applied…but they would Not go forward.

Anyone who has ever replaced rear drum type brakes would likely understand why.

Oh, they would go forward. It took a lot of gas and smelled really bad. One of my kids proved that. But then again the car had some horsepower behind it.

The last XKE that I drove was around 1963. It had just been repaired and I took it for the weekend since the boss told me it was OK. Made it down the road about a mile and turned around and brought it back. I knew if I kept that car for the weekend, I would wreck it and possibly get killed in it. It was like trying to steer a squirrel. I knew then how it got wrecked the first time by its first owner.

Wooden spoke wheels.... How about inserting and 8 track tape or cassette tape?

I can't even figure out how to adjust the clock on my truck radio!

I remember stopping by the blacksmith shop and watching Mr Hall re-spoke a wagon wheel or somebody's model T. That man could work magic.

I was never the engine / carb guy ! In my group I was the dude with a 4X4, tow straps and chains.
Cooler and cold ones on the passenger side floor board.
Tommy did all the engine work and that boy was pure genius !
