Moved a BUNCH of dirt today. About the time I finished, I saw a solid rubber block about 3 inches long and 1 inch wide. As many times as I drove over this area of the driveway, I know it wasn’t there any earlier than I found it. Any idea where the crap it came from??? 2016 L4701 HST. Thanks.

Does it have any mounting holes or anything?
Thinking around the motor mounts? That too was my guess.
Someplace vibration is lessened.

Maybe seat related?

I have no idea but if no luck here might could carry it to your dealer, one of the service guys might could help. If not close, email picture to your dealer and see if they could shed some light.

Good luck.

Might be some block used to keep something in place during shipping that didn't get removed at the dealer and fell on your property.

Well, thanks to a sharp mechanic at Mason Tractor in Blue Ridge, this piece of rubber goes under the instrument panel next to the fuel tank for vibration reduction. Thanks for the advice! By the way: it***8217;s glued to the bracket it fell off of. Guess they ran out of gorilla glue that day!!

Holy Smokes! Cherry Log GA? If you see the new guy in town driving around an old 9N Ford say hi. He’s a good guy. Sold him that 9N when I bought my L3800 and then he moved to Cherry Log. Glad you solved your mystery.

Definitely not a motor mount. They don't even have motor mounts; it's solidly mounted to the front frame.

I'm not familiar with that part. Don't recall ever seeing anything like that on any L4701 crate, nor on the tractor. But I'm not perfect either. Not likely to be fuel tank related as the tank is plastic and bolted directly to a steel support under the dash.

Glad you found it.....I totally forgot about those rubbers near the fuel tank and "dash" area.

Glad you figured it out.

I didn't even notice you lived in Cherry log. I know a guy that lives over that way myself.

Kailua-Kona, Hi
Hello,
If you open your hood, under the battery is on a steel plate, the edge of the steel plate is protected by a rubber moulding (gasket), attached to the end of those moulding are TWO black rubber blocks, about the size you mentioned. When these blocks break off the rubber moulding the rubber moulding get loose and 'hang's down' near the engine compartment. To PREVENT this from getting caught on anything I just took it off. I took the part to my local dealer and they could NOT find it in their parts diagram. If anyone can find a part number please post it here. Thank You. Help in Hawaii.
