Back in the mid 90s when I was in middle school everybody took a 6 week "Industrial Technology" class where we learned about tools and did some wood working projects. I didn't really learn much there though, I already knew about all of that, but had some fun with the projects, one of which I still have on a shelf.some look at a tape measure as if it will speak to them!![]()
I do something very similar each year .....but with freshman in high school, usually it is a eye opening experience........The next day we went to the library while the teacher taught everyone else how to read a ruler.
Not completely disagreeing with you - but anything on the underside will create "ripples" if back dragging, the lip works well when back dragging - creates a very nice finish on dirt or gravel anything in that path would disrupt that. The straps on the side would be something I would do for sure!Where you welded the two straps on,put another two on underside from cutting edge back. And up around rear corner. They will prevent bottom of bucket from wear.
Hey Wolfman, I'd like to make that refinement. Is this what you mean or is there another pic online I could use for reference?I would fix the cutting edges on the tips of the bucket or your going to get big wear right there.
I also have skid plates on the bottom of my buckets, works very well, just tip the bucket a little forward to keep it smooth.
