Correct Oil amount In A d750a Engine?

My B7100 HST-D has the d750a engine. I have the operators manual and the service manual for this tractor. The operators manual states the oil capacity is 3.1 l. The service manual states the oil capacity at 4 quarts. 3.1 l is 3.27 quarts, give or take a spoon full. Which is correct? The stop on the oil check rod was loose and I want to get it set right when the correct amount of oil is in the crankcase. Between the manuals there is 3/4 of a quart difference.

It's been a long time but seems like my 7100 held about 1 gallon. I'm sure some of the others will chime in soon.

I've had that same issue on several Kubota engines, just buy a new dip stick.

Ifn you want to be exact .....it is 3.9 L or exactly 4.1 Q.....according to the shop manual.

Don't need a NEW one, just need to know where the plug is to be and re attach it to the rod. I can fix it for a dime and a new one is over $10 and not in stock.

OK, So now I have three different amounts. Your shop manual is real close to what my service manual from Kubota stated. There is always the chance of a typo in any printed product and that is what I am trying to sort out. Right now It is looking like the operators manual is the culprit. Thanks for the input on this guys. I put in a full 4 quarts and will set the oil check stick at full for that amount.

With all the discrepencies, I would buy the new dipstick, fill the case to the full mark on the new dipstick, then put it in writing somewhere safe. Then, you know exactly how much your crankcase holds.

My B7100 takes just a touch over 1 gallon, for what it's worth.

those numbers are from the Kubota WSM - and I am betting that if fully drained, and you added a 4 full quarts, turn em over and let em drip type of fill, that would be "FULL"

If you do the math - 3.9 L aint = to 4.1 q .......

3.9 L = 4.12108 Q .......at 4 quarts dead balls - you are 97% Full! How does the old saying go - "good enough for guberment work"

Your WSM and my SM are close enough to call them the same. I buy my oil in 2.5 gallon jugs and use a quart oil can with flex spout to put oil in engines. With this one I fill each dispenser just above the full ring so getting just a little over 4 quarts in. Filter does not come in to play as it drains to the crankcase after it has set a few minuets. I had that oil dip stick fixed once but was going by the operators manual, 3.1 l so had it set to low. Had to break it loose and re set it. No big deal. Cheap fix. Thanks for all the information.
