My avatar isnt appearing on my posts, what looks like a printer and it appears to be loading. If i go into my profile the picture is still there but grainy.
Thought it unusual as every other avatar is still intact.

maybe I am confused - I see your avatar under you name, not fuzzy but "distant" - white truck, tractor in front?

Tooljunkie,
When ever I have any issues like you are having it usually has something to do with a virus, spamware or malware.

Looks same as usual to me, although odd things happen with people's pictures these days. Sometimes the links open in a box and sometimes full frame, even within the same set from a given poster.

I see it though it's small.

Try a larger file size. I notice some people have larger avatars than some. I bet its vBulletin making do with whatever you upload.

How or why it would look like a printer to you is pure Twilight zone stuff! :D

Drive an oak stake in the heart of your CPU.

Glad to be of help.

What's the temperature up there? Is it to cold for the internet to work? Maybe the the light can't get down those fiber optic cables. Or maybe as suggested it's a virus, maybe brought on by the cold. Seems to work everywhere it's a little warmer.;):D

I took photo with my iphone, viewing and post just with my phone. I will fire up craptop (win10) and see what it looks like. I rarely use my deskttop or laptop when i visit ott.

Larry, actually its been unusually warm this winter so i cant see that as being the issue, besides that interweb gets served to me wirelessly. Tried it three ways,3g,lte and through my wifi.

Frank,

I think Larry is on to something. If your IntraNetPipeThingy isn't frozen, maybe its constipated?

I cant wreck my phone, its absolutely necessary for my business, for contacts and its used for taking payments through an app. All my contacts and for ordering parts.

Don't try this....

Ten minutes into my load of work clothes, I realized, I couldn't find my phone.

Sure enough, it was getting washed. The Otterbox case it was in helped a lot but the water had made it through in a few areas. It had powered off due to water in the switch. I pulled the battery and laid it out in the sun for a day.

It booted the next morning but the screen started to go sepia-tone. I yanked the battery and then put the phone in the oven at 150 degrees for about three hours. Afterwards, it booted up and works fine. PHEW!

New rule: NEVER start washer without phone on top of washing machine.

Ray, if you wanted a true fail safe method you'd have to have the phone connected to the ON switch before it would turn!!!!;)

My phone is so old it would be a blessing for it to destroy itself, but it won't.

I have a similar one to yours for work :) I've killed two of them . First one went into the floor containment for the wash bay. They don't like oil based drilling mud!!!! They sent me a new one. That one fell out of my pocket while I was adjusting the forks on the forklift. It got the new slim profile after the 20,000lb fork lift went over it :p:D If the manufacturer's say they have an indestructible phone, they need to send me it for field testing :D If it can be broke, I'll end up doing it :D
