    Mx5100 tire pressure

OK, not to hijack, but I was reading a few weeks ago about tire pressure and they (you know how "They" can' be ;) ) recommended to let the air pressure down until you get a full footprint of the tread on the ground. Not ridiculously low, but just full contact with the lugs on the sides of the...

    bolt on forks

They are the cat's meow!!! I was advised against these, and that I needed a dedicated pallet fork to replace my bucket, but the clamp on have done all I have asked and more!! They do have limits, but I wouldn't trade anything for mine.. Just too dang handy. Mine don't have the cross member...

    Binder chain question

OK, stupid rookie question, but I have not transported larger tractors for many miles. I have stepped up to the MX5100 with the BH92 backhoe. Will be hauling it 400 miles about 3-4 times per summer. Have the binder chains and and 4 load binders, but on the bottom of the back of the hoe, there...

    transmission fluid window

Could it be that low? Sure could. Lots of reasons. But, I wouldn't panic. Try parking it at various angles with a back tire on a small rise and such, see if you can see the fluid line at least. Maybe front end in a ditch. Wouldn't be the first tech to forget to fill something up if it...

    Fuel

Yep, diesel no problem. Can sit like propane if no moisture accumulates. Run it and don't worry. If I was going to store it long term, I would add an algicide. After Rita, we started keeping diesel long term. No issues what-so-ever. Runs fine. Kubota's, cummins, power stroke... Doc

Which quick hitch, 3 pt, or Pat's?

OK, have been contemplating one for a while, and after watching videos, I am trying to decide which is the "best" quick hitch (at least for me). I have decided that it depends on whether you need a floating top link more often than not. Looks to me like if I am going to be doing a lot of bush...

WooHoo!!! Mama OK'd me a late christmas present. BH92 hoe!!!!

Well, thanks to the need for some significant backhoe work at work, mom had OK'd the purchase of a BH92 backhoe for my MX5100!!! Placed the order today. So, now, the wait. Figured since I was going to do it, might as well do it all the way, and got the hydraulic thumb with it. Dang, like a...

    garden implements.

Look up the "Bayou Gardner" on YouTube. I have watched a lot of his videos where he does most of his gardening by tractor with these implements. Very informative for someone who has never gardened with a tractor. We have always done it by hand, but he has about converted me. Doc
