The perkins diesel mystery may be solved after years.

We bought a used perkins diesel a few years ago and put a water pump on it. Had to have the valve guides redone but nothing major. Always ran great but would somtimes build sump pressure under high load and burn oil over time. I had noticed the dip stick had broken off and welded back on before...

Regen and def on large vs small kubotas

So the M5n-091 narrow is our first ever machine with def and regen systems. Both seem to work just fine, this tractor regens every 10-12 hours of use and looks like it'll use 1/4 a tank of def fluid every 65 hours or so. Was told this is normal but is this the case in the larger tractors or do...

    Will the filter leak?

Dumb question, if I take a water filter and put it right before the tap on the hot water side as well as the cold will the heat make the casing fail? It says on the casing it's rated to function at up to 38c but I assume it means the filter cartridge will come apart after this. My plan was to...

Can you overload a hydraulic pump?

Simple question that I'm pretty sure I know the awnser to but I wanted to check anyway. Say your tractors hydraulic pump puts out 20GPM, You are running multiple hydraulic motor that can easily pull over that if running at full speed. So as a result your pump is outputting it's max flow for...

More off topic plumbing questions haha.

Not really anything too crazy but I installed a UV system and when theres no water flowing for a while the casing of the unit will get pretty warm/hot. Is there risk of cracking the glass sleeve from the sudden temp drop of cold water? I know my aunt has the same setup but the use water all the...

PVC mistakes... anyone else do this?

So I hardly ever use anything that requires gluing pvc so never really have any glue around. I got a little filter that is pvc and you have to glue in the ends which is not a big deal. I grabbed a bottle of what I thought was the cement and proceeded on. Ended up with this clear fast evaporating...

    Change hydraulic mode?

I have an m5n-091, it is currently set so the hydraulic valves stay open and kick out near full pressure. Is there a way to change the setting so the valve doesn't kick out? I know deeres have that option but not sure about kubota.

    Future purchasing curiosities?

This year we replaced our 4-6 year old, dead, 5083en with an M5-091 narrow. It was not somthing we expected to do but sofar we love the new kubota. The tractor that needed to be replaced but for now we actually successfully fixed up a fair bit decently to get us a few more years out of it is a...

John deere 7130 stuck in 4wd? Off topic?

I think this would be considered off topic, we have a JD 7130 that is stuck in 4wd because a stick got up near the 4wd selenoid and did somthing. I have no idea which wire or even which selenoid controls the 4wd on this tractor but I hate having it stuck in 4wd. Deere will be along to fix it in...

    Best snow plow angle?

So 6 or so years ago I took an old snow plow that we had not used in forever and was sitting blocking an old bridge and made it useful for the additional loader tractor we had purchased. I added power angle which took a bit to get correct and a relif valve for if I hit somthing like a hard pile...

    New MSN-091, curious of things.

Just curious about the emissions setup on these Kubota's, at what percentage do they tell you to regen? If they are sitting there running a pump or a generator and need a regen do you have to go shut off the pto and let them regen or will they just do it? It says in the manual for a parked regen...

M5n-091 features and 4wd. Plus kubota in general?

I'm curious of a few things after ordering my new Kubota. Just things I wonder how they work for people. Firstly the constant pto rpm feature? How well does this work? How would it help it hold rpm running a generator or like mowing? Secondly this turning feature whare the front wheels spin...

M16 loader on orchard tractor? Capacity?

Still looking into buying a M5n-091 with a loader to replace my 4 year old lemon deere. Could anyone link me to tell me the specs on that loader? Lift capacity and stuff. The one on the deer can pick the rear up pretty easy.

    M5n-091 loader control? And capacity?

We are planning on replacing out 4 year old JD 5083en that is falling apart with a m5n-091 kubota. I drove one and they are really nice sofar, only thing I couldn't find is a picture of one with the loader control because it looks like it would be hard to fit in and I am unsure of the specs on...

Considering trading in a deere for a kubota.

We have a john deere 5083en which is 4 years old, normal use and it's just falling to pieces. Sensors, parts it's just a lemon. We hope to trade it and get a kubota orchard tractor but I have no idea what they are like. Has anyone else here went from deere to kubota? Thanks!
