Just wondering if anyone has any great ideas where my stuff may be? Right now, I'm missing a 1/2 x 28 to 5/8 to 24 thread adapter and a set of keys.

I just thought I'd throw it out there and ask since I can't find them. :D

I think you dropped it to the left of the shop door behind the green bucket.

You sure they’re not with the other unmatched sock? If you find a set of Toyota keys, please let me know. Thanks.

You put the keys down in a secure spot where you wouldnt lose them. The adapter is still attached to the last item you used to adapt it too!

They’re probably off partying with my Mule key and battery charger.

I’m sort of low key proud of losing the battery charger as that requires some real talent.

They are in the truck that was repossessed today because you forgot to make the final payment. The auction is on Thursday, so if you hurry you can still put a bid on it.

Raw talent!

I had a five gallon gas can disappear about a decade ago. It was in the lean to with four others, a quarter mile up the gravel driveway right next to the house. Gone I tell ya! Never saw it again. Can’t imagine someone came up the drive, dug around and only took that. Especially given there are houses right off the roadway nearby.

I have found two one gallon gas cans, about five years apart from one another, both in the middle of nowhere on local logging roads used for trail riding. Only three more to go and I’m even.

Not that they will own up to borrowing them without permission then failing to return them but have you asked your son(s),SILs and others that make it a habit?

Found a set of keys I'd lost 5 years prior... in the potted plant next to the front door. One day I was tired of that plant. And while dumping the nasty pot over to throw it away, out flew my lost keys. I even changed the locks on the house after I'd lost them.

Lost my cell phone once in a dark spot behind the rifles in the gun safe. Digging thru the old rifles in back looking for a missing spare magazine... and there it was... two years later. Both.

What I learned was never turn off your cell phone.

As I get older, it's getting worse.

They're in the last place you'll look. But you'll keep looking after you find them just to be sure.

My fool proof method of finding small items.
Pick up another small item, one that is expensive, important, unique and hard to get. With it in your hand, close your eyes and throw it. When silence returns, the item you just threw will be right next to the item you lost. If you have poor eyesight, keep repeating this expert process until a pile is created. Everything you lost will be right there!

There is a psychic phone number you can call. Give them your credit card number and they will tell you where to look.
I have a draw full of keys that I have no idea what they go to. I'll mail them to you for a nice donation to my venmo account.

Check next to the landline in the garage.

I 'lost' a socket one day..during one of those 'my rush job has priority over the other 3 rush jobs, none are MINE of course' days... I carry on. THREE days later FOUND the socket.....next to the phone. I grabbed it,then tossed phone into filing cabinet...one less 'distraction'.

Wife loses her 'smart' phone all the time. I use speed dial on the landline to call her smart phone as I don't own a 'smart' phone.
