Well now Im sure somebody doesn't want the garage painted!! Got started this morning the grand kid showed up and she started on the lower parts I couldn't get,,, I can get down ok but getting back up is another story. Anyway I got as high as I could reach got the ladder out and everything was going fine,, Moved the ladder, and I of course checked on the bottom step I stood and bounced several times to make sure it was solid,,, Good up I go almost to where I need to be and the freekin ladder leg sinks in the dirt ladder goes one way me the other,, and were it not for my ninja like reflexes:rolleyes:>>>> this fat old man would have been over the bank and onto the road and that truck would have never been able to stop!! Thank gawd for the bushes that stopped me. Now both knees hurt shoulder neck and arse,, so I figured that's enough for today, so I put some pork chops in the smoker, I don't think I will fall doing that,,,
Skeets,

very sorry to here bout your bad day...... I too am glad those cat like reflexes saved your hind parts. A buddy of mine did the same thing, but slipped coming DOWN the ladder, fell, hit the ground with his leg shoulder.....broke 3 ribs and he is still pisssed that his pride is hurt!

Hey- dont cut yourself on the opening of that "aluminum can" when you eat those chops, dayum they sound good from HERE!:D

Thanks guys

Skeets, i think we were that young once:rolleyes: my wife has proof somewhere in a old album:)

Hokie, i'm jealous;) the boys are easier and cheaper:D between hair appointments, dresses, nails, prom, homecoming, and all the other things girls do:rolleyes: always cringed when i would get the eyes batting and asked if i loved them:eek: meant my wallet was fixing to take a serious hit again;) The two boys, it was wheeling, bonfires and hunting:)

Good luck with finding them jobs:) two of ours liked doing there own thing, so they got jobs and were off and running. All three are doing great for themselves now. Just took the middle one a little longer to get there. Of course the military helped knock the punk out of him:D I'm very proud of all three of them

Figured I would resurrect 😊😊😊

Crazy day today piecing back together a 12" pump that a customer destroyed 🙄🙄🙄🙄

200hp Cummins diesel and will pump around 7500 gallons per minute 🤓🤓🤓 Took most of the day to get it pieced back together with new seals and a few brackets.

Pump end had gotten clogged and vibrated itself apart. Bolts snapped and made a good mess 🙄🙄🙄

Looks like you resurrected the pump as well as the topic. The pump is on a skid and obviously portable. Where is it used?

Wherever they need to move a butt load of water 🤣😂🤣😂😂 I work for a rental company. Could be on a sewer bypass. Then go drain a quarry.

It was on a canal bypass in a paper mill with 5 other pumps like it when it got clogged and vibrated apart.

I knew that it was serious. (y)

I knew a guy in the late 1960's that decided to siphon his pond down and went to get some 6" suction hose. He quickly changed his mind when they quoted him $100 per foot.

3" thru 6" goes for $20 a per hose per day. 20ft suction, 50ft discharge. If that's all you need, then it's $40 plus what ever the pump rents for.

That there looks like a helluva water pump!
You could run a lot of sprinklers with that thing!

And I had NO idea where I'd be today. Retired in Sept 2021, replaced l3200 /DIY cab with L4240 / factory cab. Most unforseen was when we volunteered to take a 10 month old girl back in Sept 2020 "for a few months" till her bio-parents got their act together. She's now 3-1/2 and we adopted her a little over a year ago. Never saw that retirement plan coming:)

What's scary is I didn't realize my daughter has been married for 9 years now 😱😱😱😱😱
Scary for me too.....
My daughter will be 59 next month.

As Mark Twain reportedly said: "If I had known that I would live this long, I would have taken better care of myself".

Today is supervised visitation. We host it once a month for our grandson and his half brother.

Their momma chose drugs above all else and lost all parental rights. Our son and the half brothers father have full custody.

Oldest son is 36, Daughter is 29. Middle son is 33. Then have 3 grandsons. The 16yo is 6'3 and chasing girls 😱😱😱😬😬😁😁

Middle grandson is 14, and big into baseball.

Youngest is two and a papa's boy 😎😎😎😎😎 He is into anything truck or equipment related. Daughter was dropping him off and was getting him out of the car when I was coming down the street in the service truck. I lit that truck up like a Christmas tree with all the emergency flashers going. 😎😎😎😎🤣😂🤣😂😂😂😂 He absolutely lost his mind. Momma and Grandma didn't exist after that 😎😎😎😎

I like threads from the dead!
Swapped in the spare engine to see if I could figure out the little puffs of smoke from the primary engine. Leak down in spec. Rings look good, no signs of blow by. Could be the oil sweepers. Piston crowns have a little bit of lead deposit on them. I'll clean em up and re ring them then put the motor on the shelf.

Started my day with a flat on the Mrs. vehicle. Has a piece of steel wire in it, close to sidewall. Might be new tire territory.

Thankfully left rear where I had plenty of room where it sat with floor Jack and pneumatic impact.

Good thing happened at home ‘cuz the spare was flat too…. I admit I never check them.
