What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I don’t have those hooks but some hooks I welded on.

The local dealer welds two hooks on all of the buckets on the tractors they sell. They do such a nice job that I assumed it was a factory installed feature, but learned through this forum that it's not. Turns out the dealer in Sheridan, WY doesn't weld on hooks, so I still need to buy and weld on hooks on the bucket that came on the M6060.

Here's a bucket on an MX6000 that was sitting out front around the time I bought my MX6000 open station that I sold after a year.

I'm a pack rat with photos and here's a photo that I took on May 31st, 2016 at the local dealer. I bought a BX25D in early June of 2016 and can't say if the one in the center of the photo is the one I bought, but you can see the welded on hooks on the bucket.

Winter has finally faded away [I think/hope] and the driveway mud has dried up enough to tractor again so took off the plow and the chains and put the bucket back on for some spring clean up.

Mowed with the T2290 for the first time past playing with it for a few minutes. Cut quality is better than I expected. Better than my old Cub ZTR. Better than the MTD Yardman I had before the ZTR. It’s just a really nice mower.

My wife had to work today (retail job). I wasn’t going to stay home by myself, so off to the farm.
I cut trees today. Always cut out the easy wood for future heating needs.

Easy and quick install and had plenty of time left before dinner to move that hunk of wood from the front yard that's been there since we bought the place in November. Gotta say, the galvanizing (yellow zinc plating) has been awesome on mine, even leaving the bucket outside. I didn't bother with painting the hooks or the D-Rings, or the backing plates. More worried about the bolts than any of that rusting.

I got both the hooks and the D-Rings for my bucket. Gotta say, they're good stuff. I think they'd pull the bucket apart before the hook fails. Certainly some of the best looking welds I've ever seen, and REALLY easy to install. The backing plate is what sold me on them versus so many other brands I looked at that didn't have them.

I like the look of that mowing deck. That's built to take some abuse. Is the lift on that hydraulic, or just direct lever operated? Pretty sweet looking little rider.

Direct lever operated. It’s a simple design. Belt drive. 2WD. But clearly built with the attention to quality expected of the Kubota name.

Nephews and I went out to the farm on Saturday. Had to replace some tin on the barn that had gotten blown off. Once that project was complete, we hooked up the brush mowers and completed the 1st mowing of the season. Took time to trim some of the trees that were hanging low. Plus, we repaired part of the fence that had been torn down. It was a very productive Saturday.

Now, if I could get 365 more days just like that I might get caught up.

One 20 yd dumpster down, being swapped out tomorrow. Couldn't have gotten 10lbs into a 5lb bag without using the bucket to compress everything.

It's nice seeing how a little tlc can spruce things up. Hoping things dry up this week so I'll be able to start tiding up the yard.

Modified my receiver hitch so I can put it on the quick hitch instead of swapping them out for the few minutes I need to move the trailer with the LX. The cross member carries all the weight, top point is only to keep it from rolling. Cut the center vertical box beam to accommodate the hook, and welded a piece of 1/2 steel pipe at the right height for the hook to hold the top. No pin necessary. Fits great. Worst case, I kill a $80 receiver hitch. Best case, I don’t have to take the quick hitch off again. Needs a little sanding and paint, but otherwise done.

Gotta get some more Cat 1-Cat 2 and Cat 2 - Cat 3 bushings. The bottom hooks on my quick hitch are Cat 3. Pins on the receiver hitch are cat 1. Not my first rodeo with this issue. TSC has exactly what I need, and we have a brand new stove a lot closer now.

New Cat 1-2 lift arm bushings procured and installed. Now I need to change the County Line subsoiler, and all my 3-point attachments will work on the quick hitch. It gets a bit more force against the top link, so gonna be more welding involved to get the QH top hook something to grab.
