I took my L245 and L185 over to a friend's house who is layed up with a mystery illness. Bucketed 40 tons of 2B modified with the 245 while another friend on the 185 raked to restore a severely washed out driveway. He and his family were thrilled with the help. My arms were not so happy with the lack of power steering on the old girl. I think I have to check out the links for after-market P/S for the L235 I am restoring. Have a great safe Thanksgiving everyone.

Having a L235 also, I would be interested in what you find with adding power steering. You can definitely get a workout when using the FEL and getting older and weaker doesn't help either. Hope to see your thread on the total restoration (step by step) for your L235.

Do a search of the threads, I know a member or two on here in the past has installed an aftermarket power steering to their tractor.

I find that a little extra PSI in the front tires helps noticeably when using the FEL with heavy loads.

Thanks, Eric. I already knew of the other threads, but none were specific to my L235. Just letting MikeL know that I would interested on what he may find for his.

Well I changed out the glow plugs on my B8200, starts much easier now, it was already hard starting on 30 degree mornings, so it was time, made a set of skids for the box scraper for snow plowing the driveway this winter, finally got lights in the barn addition (kubota's home). been a busy weekend :)

Skids for the box scraper, dont really want to dig up gravel driveway all winter while plowing:)

Barn extension as it was going up

Barn extension finished

Well yesterday, my wife and I loaded up the B3200 on my car trailer with my Dodge and went and picked up a 1956 Chevy 3100 1/2 ton pickup. The truck was in a field so we used the B3200 to tow it out and push it up onto the car trailer. My wife did all of the tractor manuvers and I steered the old Chev. I was just going to go home with my wife with the old truck on the car trailer and come back and pickup the tractor later. She said she would drive it the 2.5 miles home. So off we went, Her in front and me in back of her with the Dodge and car trailer in tow. She looked like Farmer Jane just cruisin' at 8-10 mph with her beat up straw hat on. when we got home she told me "Lets do that again!"
A day before I used the B3200 to move my restored 1972 Onan 5.0 CCK generator off of a welding table that I had been working on it on. I built in 4 lifting eyes on the generator and used 2 nylon tow straps over the front bucket to lift it. The generator weighs about 400 lbs. My tractor is indispensable to me!

Today I used mine to unload a bunch of metal from the bed of a 1956 Chevy pickup I bought. I then used it to move another ONAN generator that I am working on. I use mine more for a loader the anything else.

This is more of a what I didn't do on my kubota. Mud, mud and more mud. It rained almost 2" last night so there wasn't much tractor work today.

Pump some of that water up north this way Bulldog! We sure could use it. It's been raining some the past 2 days but not nearly enough to amount to anything and we haven't had a good rain in quite a while.

Eric, it's been hit and miss for us but we were really lucky this year. It got dry but when everything was about to get burned up it would rain just enough to save things.

As I understand it, rocks sprout & grow spontaneously in any field you don't want them.... the less you need rocks , the more they will appear.:D

When My great grandfather bought the ranch in 1/ 3/1900 he planted apricots and raised corn for Germain seed co. My father remove most of the apricots rin 1963 because it got hard to get help to harvest ( hand pick ). Now we raise cattle , Oat hay ,garboanza beans ( chick peas ) , barley and safflower. Im rertiring next year from the local power co after 36 years and going to replant a few acreas in apricots for fresh pic and put up a road side stand to keep the grandkids busy. I forgot one other crop a few food plots for our local Blacktail deer ........Dan My brother and I work together at the ranch.
