It’s not better, It’s a waste of a good tractor if it never gets used!!!
That was my point. Reading it back I guess the sarcasm wasn't clear enough. Currently my two are not stored inside but are kept in the shade as much as possible during the hotter months. I am going to build two sheds this spring, but I have a lot more regard for a tractor that's used a lot but kept outside vs. one that's never used but kept in a shed.

Feel bad that we missed 1st real snow in CT in a very long time. My son took out the tractor and got to snowblow the 600' driveway. Did it one time early Sunday AM, then it snowed more.

We ended up with 10" here. I plowed our road that we share with two places down below that have a ROW and a camp about a mile down the town road.

NWS has us here in Central Oregon under a Blizzard Warning (rare for this area) until Wednesday afternoon. Fueled up, checked the fluids and lights. Bring it, Mother Nature!

Got 3 inches today so decided good time to brake in the rear blade I got over the summer. Not enough snow to use the pusher. Took care of my driveway, then went to the neighbors to take care of theirs. They are in their 90's. Enjoy helping them out. Hoping for a big storm to test out the 1880.

I put out a round bale for the cows, then switched over to pallet forks and moved totes around.
65* degrees out, clear skies, green grass and about 48in of sunshine predicted here.

Got to try out the LED light bar, pushing wet sloppy snow off the drive, so it won’t freeze into a rough road.
Looking forward to the colder weather, so it’s just real snow that the blower can deal with, instead of this slurpee melt on the ground

Used the rear blade to clean up after last night's storm. Not sure if I was pushing more water or snow. Didn't even think about using the blower. I did my daughter's driveway out to the road first so she could get out.

Beatiful sunrise this morning!
20240110_070717.jpg

Moved elevated deer blind in 30+ mph winds, I'm glad the bottom has enough iron to keep from blowing over or off the forks.

Then moved cows over to another section/pasture.

When you are done could you come to my home and build me a small barn for my small tractor? I like your work.

Blizzard conditions all day yesterday, really high winds driving the snow into big drifts. Calm and sunny this morning...but a bit chilly according to the National Weather Service:

I wanted to get back to you about the 'tiltmeter', it is made by R&B Manufacturing inc. I got it from the TractorByNet store in April 2018. It was 44.95 and is listed as '25CDA Tiltmeter'. I hope this helps. I did look up the manufacturer and they sell different types of meters also. Good luck.
I don't suppose you have a link for the 25CDA.... tractorbynet's sales site seems to be dead, and the manufacturers website isn't great (no search option). TIA!

We're in the middle of blizzard conditions and I wasted 30 minutes clearing off 400 yards of driveway and parking areas this morning thinking I would get to UPS before they close for the morning. This is one of those days when blowing snow with an open station tractor would suck. It's cold, windy and the snow is like powder and blowing all over the place. A warm cab is the place to be! (y)

We're currently at -2F (-12F with wind chill) and supposedly will have a low of -29F tomorrow and -33F on Saturday.

+1 for the heated cab.
It was -6F without taking into account wind chill when I went back out this afternoon. But the sun came out for a bit so it was nice inside a warm cab with the sun shining. Rather foolishly I started to move snow from around the garage as the tractor was warming up and my fingers got really, really cold. I wasn't wearing gloves and paid the price!

This is the lower gravel driveway where I use the snow blade. I really couldn't be happier with my set up for snow removal given that I have about 400 yards of gravel driveway and 175 yards of asphalt with additional parking areas.
