That's piss poor quality control. You would think that would be more difficult to make a mistake like that.Discovered my backhoe subframe to loader subframe bracket is welded on backwards on one side

Nice.....admittedly I have also used the tractor to move the One-Up rack......but they are great bike racks.....
good eyes/good catchā¦yes it is a Flow hiveā¦itās actually the only Flow hive I have ever seenā¦any of my relatives and friends that have kept bees all had the traditional boxes. Step one is keep a healthy hive through this next winterā¦I sort of wish we would have built 2 giving a better chance one makes it through the winter or if one doesnāt maybe easier to identify the trouble, but just the one cost enough to try and see how it works. However extraction canāt get any easier IMO and no need spend money on a centrifuge.I like the beehive, is that Flow hive brand with the flow frames?

I have a couple spots saved for hives on my place.
Agreed, I'm assuming they have jigs for lining up the brackets on the subframe tube, not sure how someone managed to weld it upside down with a proper jig. That's piss poor quality control. You would think that would be more difficult to make a mistake like that.
Silly question perhaps. Is there a reason why both of your 3rd function connectors (can see in pics of loader) are male? I have dealer installed male/female on mine.We had a busy day with the little ladyā¦.she transferred bike bike rack and Adirondack rack to the big barn, got a mow in before the rain this evening, transferred some straw, did a small fencing job, and moved / Transferred our first bee box outside (into small fenced area in the hillside - bees should arrive this week!).
I love a good root grapple & you know how to use it. You might push the male & female hydraulic connector covers together to help keep both clean.
Besides the rear mower I'd say the grapple is my second most frequently used implement and my favorite. The connector caps fit the male/female couplers fine but don't stay together. I give them a shot of brake cleaner and wipe them out with a shop towel before storage.I love a good root grapple & you know how to use it. Are those Birch trees? Are those root suckers from those trees?

The roots are from some kind of thorn tree. The thorns will go through soft tires and the sides of work boots. Apparently, they were planted in lieu of fences to keep farm animals in. I haven't punctured the R14's yet but probably had three dozen plugs in my front pair of R3's and a can of tire slime.

Sureā¦.the dealer suggested and set them up that way with common couplers for BX I had originally and I agreed as it made sense to connect both in same way. I think really just to keep the process the sameā¦I asked for it that as I think it is easier to hook up doing both the same wayā¦.personally I like the push sleeve over the male coupleā¦seems like it sets a little easier than the opposite layout of rear remote typesā¦at least for me . Iāve continued it on my B and MX. (I use colored tape to visually see which is which on the hoses for both the machine and the implement (grapple). I donāt believe it makes a difference just personal preference. I have all common type connectors on the rear as wellā¦not some male and some female. If there is a some technical reason I am sure I donāt know.Silly question perhaps. Is there a reason why both of your 3rd function connectors (can see in pics of loader) are male? (cool bee hives, BTW)
Both mine are female on the tractor side...makes no difference in functionality. A few colored zip ties to mark hoses and you never hook it up backwards.Silly question perhaps. very nice artwork on your flowhive. This is our first spring to have one as well. Just waiting on our little friends to finish filling it up.We had a busy day with the little ladyā¦.she transferred bike bike rack and Adirondack rack to the big barn, got a mow in before the rain this evening, transferred some straw, did a small fencing job, and moved / Transferred our first bee box outside (into small fenced area in the hillside - bees should arrive this week!).
Thanks. However I canāt take all the creditā¦I am mainly responsible for material handling and use of equipment and tools and general site prep and sort of site foreman and HGLOT (head general laborer of tasks)ā¦generally I am not to be trusted with appearance / color selection.very nice artwork on your flowhive. Lol. Same here. My wife stained ours on the outside and painted the roof blue, whilst Ignoring any suggestions I might have had.Thanks. However I canāt take all the creditā¦I am mainly responsible for material handling and use of equipment and tools and general site prep and sort of site foreman and HGLIT (head general laborer of tasks)ā¦generally I am not to be trusted with appearance / color selection.. I was permitted to paint some the single color areas, mainly the blue super and also the brown roofā¦.everything else spousal unit did the great painting work and consideration. It will be interesting if we need to add a second box on the bottom. Any of my suggestions were not considered helpful or even appropriate for the exterior.
. I did get it assembledā¦and boy did it use a lot more screws than I expected. I am a little worried about windā¦I put a ratchet strap over just before it started rainingā¦but I think maybe if we have some clear weather today I am going to add some ground anchors and a more secure strap over the topā¦until the bees get it waxed together I am not confident some heavy winds would not topple it.
Yeah are those pricy hives, but I do like the simplicity of the frames to extract honey.good eyes/good catchā¦yes it is a Flow hiveā¦itās actually the only Flow hive I have ever seenā¦any of my relatives and friends that have kept bees all had the traditional boxes. There are messy animals for sure!We had some excitement at the Hofferosa todayā¦
A few years back I had the opportunity to deconstruct some large equipment pallets for machinery and keep the Timbersā¦which since they were my favorite price I got a trailer load and have been keeping covered since.
today we pulled back the tarp to pull out a few and to our surprise we found an infestation or raccoons (I am not really sure how many, but IMO 10-15 at least if there was 1)ā¦as soon as I saw them I yelled to spousal unit at far end of trailer to get back and that that moment she saw me reaching for Mr Kimber and the family of raccoons scatteringā¦in the same moment there was some aweful yelling screaming and what I could discern as ādonāt fāing shootāā¦.any way I was not able to deal with the squatters as the spousal unit froze and stayed there at the end of the trailer. There was dispatching and no one hurt so that is goodā¦but what a mess and collection of fur and feces. It was aweful. But we finally got 8 of the Timbers and then cleaned them off. Since I did not have a clean shot, I managed to get the phone out and get a couple pics of the last few that came out.
Where abouts is your place located?Lol. Same here. My wife stained ours on the outside and painted the roof blue, whilst Ignoring any suggestions I might have had.. She said your hive looks āsuper cuteā btw.
I had the same worry, and also worried about animals like raccoons. I had considered short pieces of angle on the corners screwed To the brood box and going up the super a couple of inches. But so far no issues and we routinely see 40+ mph wind. I did put some ATF in the ant guard cups which stopped ants from crawling up the legs. Canāt wait to get some honey from these guys. Itās been a great spring so far for the flowers.
