As you mentioned, the stands aren't meant to take a lot of weight. They are meant to carry part of the loader's weight. Watch them while removing / reinstalling the loader so you don't accidentally try to lift the tractor on them.

That's my exact worry haha. I'll do it wrong and squash them.

It isn't terribly difficult to master. BUT I'm living proof that things can go wrong. That said, the dealer who bought my 10 year old B7500 was impressed that it didn't have a crease across the hood. Those loaders had sort of a spacer bar across the back of the loader frame that was a fairly close to the hood. He told me it was rare to see a pristine hood one a B7500.

I saw this the other day, it popped up in my feed and I had to take a look at it for a minute.

I understand people buy these for the smaller john deeres that are not intended for a loader but this is on a BX that has a loader specifically designed by Kubota for this tractor. I get that it may be cheaper but realistically how much? It also seems kinda dangerous to me, the geometry of it would imply that you could dump an entire load of dirt on yourself haha.

It is really an easy process as others have said. Flat surface most important, First time is the scariest. Only trouble I have had was the first time removing when you curl the bucket to lift the loader arms out of pin sockets I did not curl enough to put the bottom of the bucket flat on the ground. There was no problem except the bucket not being flat allowed the loader lines to gain pressure as the bucket sat angled. So I had to release the pressure before I could recouple the QD's when putting the loader back on. But, that could happen with a temperature change also, especially if it is off a long time, So you should learn how to release the pressure in the loader lines by pushing in the poppet.

If you do a lot of mowing you will love having that loader off - believe me!!

And if IRC these are along your property line and not for another purpose ??

Privacy and a wind break when they get large enough. The Gulf of Saint Lawrence is a couple miles to the north of them. Lots of wind.

$5-10 canadian. Last years batch came from open fields and along the woods. They didn't fair very well. Hope the do better.

I'm going to use the 60 empty pots to plant seedlings and try them on the other side.

Hi S-G-R, I'm in PEI too and have a neighbor looking for spruce trees for a hedge row at a cottage property on the north shore. Those trees look good. Would you mind sharing where your purchased them. Thank you
Welcome islander! I'm a CFA. Born in N.B.

This batch came from Kool Breeze Farms in Summerside.

just acquired 1977 L285. In the midst of draining and changing oil and filter....nice black oil. Tranny filter and UDT2 fluid and while fiddling around with those tasks, I am taking the dash off to replace non working temperature gauge, decompression lever and glow resistor. Also noticed headlights don't work, so will get started on troubleshooting the switch, wiring and bulbs. If I need more to occupy my time, I just move my eyesight and inch or two and something else will come to my attention. Tractor runs great, just little insignificant things which bother me 'cuz they aren't working as intended.

Couple things…

1. i bet that looked nice when in bloom.
2. Bees probably loved it.
3. Seems like you should have more than enough to make some wine (how many to the acre is that?😁)

I like it when our field is full of them…that’s a pretty good sized patch, if you have a nice backdrop or some old machinery believe it or not people will pay to have photos taken there. I don’t understand it but it’s a thing.

I haven't tried taking it off. A little scared to be honest because I'm worried I'll screw it up haha and never get it back on. I watched videos and people make it look easy but nothing ever goes easy for me 🤣
You're gonna feel silly like I did when you realize how easy and quickly you can pop the loader on and off.

You got a flat surface so you're good. I had the 525 loader on my 3301 (which they're all basically the same) which is the same as my 555 now.

Loader stands down.

While shes running, i usually stand right by the loader stick with my hand grabbing the big loader pin. As you set the loader down and start to roll the bucket, you'll feel the sweet spot where the pin will release.

From there grab the other side's pin.

Now with the ole girl still running obviously, as you slightly curl along with a tad of lift, she'll start moving away from the tractor. From there you can judge when your front wheels are gonna clear so you can back out.

Shut her down, I wiggle the stick alittle to relax the pressure. Then disconnect and back out.

Be scared when you got cab glass to come back into. Then have your bucket slip foward off the concrete pad. An absolute mess that took me 30 40 minutes to get back up and back on the tractor lol.

You got this brother!

After an afternoon of cutting the berries (which are looking fantastic by the way), tossed on the box blade to further sculp driveway #2. Took a shot in front of Lake Moccasin.

Basically yes. Just unplug and remove the factory cigarette lighter (unscrew the metal retaining sleeve), open up the hole a bit to 1-1/8", install the USB outlet, tighten the retaining nut and reconnect the spade lugs. Blue Sea Systems products are designed for boats so need to be rugged and weatherproof. There's no illumination to fail, just good quality plastics, a simple appearance and some clever internals. This USB outlet will work well on an open station or cabbed tractor.

1. They do look nice but I'd prefer they weren't there😆

2. There seem to be a lot of bees this year. I'm glad to see them.

3. 5 acres here plus I mow 5 acres for my bil up the road and 1 acre to my right for my neighbors.

Ive seen the pics. My grandfather's two bottom plow that goes with my MacCormick Deering W4 is on the left.

Have any of you made a cylinder safety stop for your loader? I'm looking for fabricate my own. I was just wondering because it will be a lot easier and a safer to service the tractor. 10 more hours until first oil change! Gonna replace the filters too, might as well change the fuel filter while I'm at it. It doesn't look bad at all but can't hurt. The air filter needs to be changed as well. Gonna be a pricey day at the dealership getting the stuff 😭
This is what I made for my BX FEL. Some 1.5" square tubing, a large washer and a 1.5" shaft collar.
