How is a HST Kubota towed?
Doesn't review in owners manual.
My cub cadet garden tractor has a disconnect lever for the hydro trans.
Does shifting to neutral (In between L M H) disconnect the trans for towing. Seems like it would...but it may don't be that simple.
Thanks!

I would think that towing it in N and even taking it out of 4 wheel drive would be fine. But still the fluid will be moving with the rears spinning. I would not want to do it at a high speed nor a long distance! I would think towing it to trailer or if could not get it to start would not hurt. Good question. I know several zero turns that you have to rotate a bolt on the pump to allow a bypass to happen. Good question however.

Yes neutral disconnects the HST unit from the rear end and makes it towable.

Hmmm, never had a need to tow a tractor. I've pull started them, dragged them out of being stuck in the mud, but never 'towed' one except for back to the shed when I couldn't get it started.

Is this a common thing and I just never do it?

The hst at work has a little hook down by the clutch, could this be for towing? Depress clutch and engage hook. Holds pedal down. Or is it like the block of wood that came with my l1501 to prevent clutch from rusting to flywheel?

HST and Clutch on the same tractor don't make sense. I always thought it was one or another. Kind of like male or female.

nope - some have both, Got a B7100 has both - dont need the clutch to switch from high to low, but DO need the clutch to place pto in gear. Clutch in - no forward/reverse speed either......

Quote from my owners manual shich covers the B2650 and B3350:

Set all shift levers to "NEUTRAL" position.

If possible, start engine and select 2WD, if creep speed is fitted ensure that
it is disengaged.

Tow the tractor using its front hitch or drawbar
Never tow faster than "10km/h (6.2 mph)"
