This morning my phone has been ringing nonstop. Peeps from work want to know if I was the winner (and to remember they are my best friends).
Seems someone in our town hit it for $185mm - since I'm typing this and not out buying a new tractor you can assume it wasn't me!

I won $21.00 off the pwerball baby!!!!! Woohoo!!!!!! Money in da bank!!!!! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣

That was about the extent of my winnings.

Years ago I thought I had won a local lottery for 3 mil. First 3 numbers were spot on. Next 3 numbers were 1 digit off 🤬🤬
After passing the ticket back to the clerk and having them check it through the machine,, i went home with dissapointment on my mind. 🥺🥺🥺

Got me a free ticket 👍👍👍👍👍

Your local winner was probably a retiree passing threw on a road trip.

At least that was the case when they had a Power ball winner out of Stuttgart arkansas.

Based on where it was bought, I'd guess it was a local. It's a local 'quick stop' that hard to even see when driving by.
I'm hoping it one of my new best friends!

At breakfast, the husband asked his wife, "What would you do if I won the lottery?"

She replied, "I'd take half and leave you."

"Great," he said. "Here's $6. I won $12 yesterday. Stay in touch."

I did work for a guy who won 90 million in powerball . He was a small time building contractor in Jersey and his wife bought the winning ticket. He said he signed it and put it in a little safe and sat on the safe all night couldnt sleep. Next day called a lawyer. He set up a trust fund for his relatives so they wouldnt mooch. He walked away with 40 million. When we got done building hs house he bought us all pizza, good guy. He was building a summer home in Maine.

His words of wisdom where: you cant win if you dont play

Well, you can't play it here in Alabama because the politicians say it is bad. (I believe it is actually illegal to play or possess a lottery ticket in Alabama, or some stupid mess like that.)

The odds are very, very long, but for a couple of bucks it is worth it to me once in a while just for the fun of thinking about the 'what ifs'. I spend about $100 a year on tickets and have never won back more than a couple of bucks, but I enjoy trying.

I win the lottery everyday by directing my frivolous spending to booze and tractor parts — the payout approaches 100% 🤣

When I used work in an office environment, we’d get an office pool going when the pot was north of $500M — it’d knock a couple of zeros off the odds, but it was still a fine example of being bad at math…

My words of wisdom? "The lottery is for people that don't know math"
Not necessarily. Those that do know math know the difference between no chance and some chance is one ticket. That is a great difference.

For me I am a one ticket man...but that ends up being one ticket every six months or so. But when I do buy one, I realize I just increased my odds from zero to something greater.

I just see the change from nothing to something as significant, when I buy a ticket. But I do realize the difference between the two in a lottery is minuscule. BUT it still is a major change, from no chance to SOME small chance...

Your chances of being born were greater than any chance of winning any worthwhile amount in a lottery. I once took a chance on an Indian blanket, and in the end, I won a pappus.

A lottery ticket is a good way to get an easy prize. However, most of the time, it is completely unreasonable. It often requires a larger investment than the value of the prize itself. I've tried it, but I've never won. I prefer to try my luck elsewhere, such as playing poker. However, based on my experience, I can confidently say that poker is a winning option, where it is not only luck that counts but also persistence and the ability to calculate moves quickly. For me, it is a kind of brain training. I believe anyone can succeed at this game with the proper attention and willingness to go deeper into the game rather than waiting for easy luck.
