I was reading threw my latest copy of a landscape magazine and noticed an ad for a snow blower that mounts to the lift arms of a FEL. Sheyenne Tooling makes the product and I thought I'd pass it along to you gents incase anyone else wanted to take a looksee at it.

Do you need a front pto to run these and does anyone know the price?
No front PTO required, they are hydraulic driven.
They are not cheap 3K to 5k range is normal for these units.

Not real sure, but they likely run off of a hydraulic motor. THat's how I made mine, a converted ford 4' 3 point hitch.:D:D
Yes your right...I called a dealer yesterday only problem is it would cost me 10 grand to get one here.

Some use their own resevoir to feed the PTO pump and some draw from the tractors resevoir to feed the PTO pump.

These models actually don't even use a PTO pump, they use the tractor hydraulics to run the unit.
They can be equipped with 3 different drive motors, low, med and high flow.

They show pictures on their website of mid or rear pto mounted pumps for those blowers.

Do you run yours off the tractor hyd system and if so what size hyd motor do you have to run the blower. I have been thinking about doing this for several ears but was un sure how good it would work in different types of snow conditions

When I converted the ford, to fit my ASV RC30, I consulted the hydraulics formula page, over at surpluscenter.com's web site. You need to know your tractor's flow, in GPM, pressure in PSI, and the rpm you want to run the blower at(likely around 650 RPM). I plugged the info into the formula, and figured out which motor met the specs (displacement and pressure) and ordered accordingly...:D:D
