Been doing lots of snow blowing this year in Manitoba.
Often I lose traction when blowing in reverse.
Is it safe to use differential lock while snow blowing?
Usually use a creeper gear.

Agree with others, just do not try to engage the diff lock if 1 or both rear wheels are spinning. Doing so can/will over time damage/destroy the locker and possibly the diff also. Stop the tractor engage the locker than proceed.

The diff lock is completely seperate from the pto drive, so the only thing you could hurt would be to engage it with tires spinning, as stated. And that is regardless of something on the 3 point or not.
