last night i grabbed a package to bring up to the house. About 2/3 of the way then tractor looses speed and stops. The engine throttle works great, can idle and rev up to full power, no problems. But when I step on the advance pedal the tractor bogs down to the points it wants to stall. The STALL GUARD light was on which I hadn’t seen before along with the JACK RABBIT. I was able to turn the SG off and switch from Rabbit to Tortoise.

Tractor still behaves the same….ideas of what to do to remedy?

My stall guard light has always been on since she was delivered brand new. Still on to this day years later, Just a setting i've always left it on.

I wonder if it can come on if any faults are detected within that system, @North Idaho Wolfman or @Russell King would probably know.

And you're saying it switched up to "rabbit" as well when this happened? And you got her in the appropriate range as well?

Hopefully one of our smart fellers can get you pointed in the right direction.

It's most likely a HST or Hydraulic issue.

How is the tractor equipped? FEL, BH, Something on the three point?

That tractor is pretty smart, any codes?

Jumpers may seem like a good idea at the time, will sometimes have you pulling your hair out looking for a problem. Not that I would know any thing about that

I'm still running a jumper too, the switch project is on hold while working on the hydraulic projects. Priorities...

Glad you found it and it was something simple!

Me too! Gladys is running around again!😎. I rented a small excavator this past week to dig about 250’ of trenches for light poles at the house. We have 24 acres of wood except where the house sits. I had a guy the will make paths the past two weekends working on the paths. He had a 50 hp Bobcat excavator with a large mulched/shredder on the end of the arm. He would take out a tree as large as 8“ diameter tree taking it all the way down to the ground! he cut paths 10’ wide, wide enough for us to drive our Polaris RZR SXS v4 seater down the paths. At any rated there are more paths that I want to create so I bought a new Kubota 40 hp excavator that I will pick up in Ohio and bring it to Maine. It has a cab with a/c, heat, radio plus a 7” display screen.

Did you get a great deal in Ohio on the excavator? Long way to haul it to Maine. Did you pay sales tax in Ohio?
