Please bear with me fellows. This kind of stuff gets to me:

The manual calls the round amber lights on the top of the fenders the “hazard” lights and indicates that they are turned on using button number 1 in the drawing. On my 5660 the round ambers come on when the key is turned on and button 1 operates the rectangular ambers that face rearward. Is anybody else’s tractor like this?

Also, how do you get the remnants of this green duct-type tape off?

EDIT: GREEN DUCT TAPE RESIDUE IS GONE used 3M Adhesive Remover

I asked my salesman to add a handle on the right side fender. The M5660 only comes with one on the left fender. I guess the parts man gave the mechanic the only part number that shows up for an M5660, so I wound up with the wrong handle on the right side. Who has put the correct handle on the right fender and what PN did you use?

I understand that the M5660SU is a “No frills” model, but has anyone replaced the seat with one with a better suspension?

WD-40 (spray and let soak) is a good way to remove tape glue.

#1 No. On my M5660 model year 2020, the round and rectangular ambers will flash anytime the red button is pushed, key on or off.

#2 My tractor didn't come with any green duct tape, but I'd use a citrus based degreaser on it after testing it on the underside of the fender to ensure it won't dull (degloss) the paint.

#3 The left handle on the right fender seems to be common issue for dealers as mine came the same way and I blame the technician for not paying attention to his work. I pointed it out to my salesman and they ordered the right (no pun intended) handle and installed it. I don't have a part number for you as this was handled internally and I didn't receive any paperwork on the matter.

Googone will take adhesive residue off without damaging the paint.

Update: The handle for the right fender on an M5660SUHD is a left-handed handle used in a right-handed application and the handle on the left fender is a right-handed handle used in a left-handed application. Anyway the part number of the handle that goes on the right fender is T1060-29460.

Update: The wrong wires were plugged into the round amber hazard lights on the rear fenders. @mcfarmall sent me a screenshot of the wiring diagram for his M5660 (my WSM is on order). You dang near have to take the fenders off to access the wires underneath the “stay-lamp LH” (020) and “stay-lamp RH” (030) because the bottom bolt (010) for each stay is not accessible except with the fender removed. I was able to remove the bolt (140) underneath the fender and bend the fender down enough to access the plugs.

Odd that the description says LH when it's on the right side of the tractor. Goes against conventional wisdom as to which side of a vehicle is right or left.

It’s used on the left side of an MX6000 and probably a lot of other models. I guess they decided that it worked better on the right side of an M5660. That’s how I figured out the correct part number, by looking at the handles on other tractors on the lot and the part numbers used on them.
