I have to level part of my acreage to build a garage. Not a huge area but the cost to get someone in would be about the same as buying an attachment for my B7100. I checked local used options but have not found a box scraper for a compact tractor like mine.

I did find a light duty 3-Point Hitch 5 ft Box Scraper at Princess Auto. It weighs only 462 pounds and has a max hp duty of 45 which is far greater than the 19 I have. I would think the rototiller is similar weight so the tractor can handle the weight of the scraper .

I was looking for a 4 foot wide one but they only sell this one. My questions are

1) is this too big or can common sense operation be sufficient?

2) what category 3 point hitch do I have? I assume it is a category 1. I currently have a 4 foot rototiller installed.

That looks like a better fit. Northern Tool is not close to me but thank you for the model and make. It gave me something to look for. I am going to look for that scraper in Montana. Our acreage is very close to the US border and it is easy for me to go there to shop

A few thoughts and questions:

What is the weather like where you are? My ground is already frozen, so dirt work has come to a standstill. Second, is this a simple grade, or do you need to really move dirt around (ie get rid of hills, etc)? A 4 ft BB is going to take a long time if there is a lot of displacement.

Does Tractor Supply operate in Montana? They carry their own store brand BoxBlade. I have a 4foot Land Pride that you can purchase from your Kubota Dealer. I'm well satisfied with it. I too would recommend staying with a 4 footer.

Thank you for the help. There is a tractor supply close enough to me l.

I have signed up for their email and can wait till they go on sale. I won't be starting until next spring so time m is my friend

Simple grade job, I have a gradual slope that I have level off for a garage. There are a few bumps on my acreage as well that could use some dressing so a box scraper is something I can use. I also have a 200 foot driveway that will need periodic maintenance so.

The factory blade for the B7100 was 42" wide. It will handle a 48", but I wouldn't go an inch bigger.
