I hate to tell you but a Kubota B2601 is a basic B no matter what options it has, or you added.
A Kubota B2650 is a deluxe model.

And yea your ck4010 might be stripped down, I don't have a lot of experience with them.

Back to my main point, that is your comparing 2 different class of tractors.
A B2601 is a 25.5 HP tractor and CK4010 39 HP.
Your comparison keeps saying the Kubota is lighter... Yes it is, its a smaller class tractor.

Gotcha! & here i thought i had the fancy 2601 without the extra weight of the 2650.

YES the Kioti is stripped when you compare it to the 2601 Kubota.

YES it is a 25.5hp vs a 39.6hp..... on almost the same dimensions, width, height, length.

the comparing was also done by price. a fancier "B" vs a stripped "C".

YES for comparing sake it is a "B" vs "C".... also not a "C" vs a "grand L"

the Kioti IS very heavy for its size... & i didnt say that as a good thing.

couldnt give anyone an honest opinion on anything besides the B7200 or B2601... those are what i had.

you have to compare what you have & i very plainly stated the B2601 stacks up very nicely to the kioti everywhere except in that PTO HP.

as mentioned... maybe it is a good idea to lock this thread up.

ive stayed on this site because of the awesome members & the overall help/attitude that works towards our implements, tools & so on, regardless of which brands we "ride".

Don't get me wrong, your points are valid and they are a good observation of what you see.
I'm not knocking your comparison, and yes you did state a lot of good points and differences.

I think some have misunderstood that i was bashing you thread, I'm not. ;)

I'm a little late to the party but I think it was a great write up sdk1968, thanks. If there had of been a Kioti dealer here or a MF dealer I probably would have ended up owning one of them but as it turned out I have a Kubota dealer not very far from where I live. Kubota has treated me well but I'm not about to bash the other brands mainly because I've never owned one and I couldn't tell you one way or the other if their good or bad so once again thanks for the write up, much appreciated. As for leaving the forum because someone has stepped on your toes a little or doesn't agree with you, well I think that would be your loss. I belong to 3 other forums right now and none come close to this one for helping out, at times seems more like an extended family. Oh yea, this is JMHO so please don't take it the wrong way.

Thank you for the honest comparison @sdk1968. I might have purchased a Kioti CK2610 instead of a L2501 if there were any decent dealers around here. I compared all the brands I could find and that model really spoke to my needs and the price sure is right. I’m not concerned about resale at all, but parts availability and warranty service is important and JD and Kubota are the only ones in my area that have been around long enough and have proven themselves. There was no question between those two. I’m very happy with my new L2501 and I’m happy for you too!
Your post was very well written and not confrontational at all imho.
Thanks again!

all good stuff. :D & thanks for the positive PM's!!

NIW: didnt think You were bashing me. just that my Kubota was fancy.

Mainah: if you have a B25, 26, 29, 32 series Kubota? you would NOT be happier with a 25ck Kioti. what you have will do all the same stuff & weighs a whole lot less in the yard.

Bearbait: hear ya. have Kubo, Kioti, JD, MF, mahindra, Ford dealers all within 10 minutes of me in this farm filled area... so its all about the personal relationships & deals.

85 hokie: i hear ya bud... & you can contact me anytime you want.

D2cat: LMAO ive heard of these parades... but the only thing hidden in my closet is guns.

This forum is called ORANGE Tractor Talks.. at least my other tractor is still orange. ;) i grew up on a 53 FORD!

"This forum is called ORANGE Tractor Talks.. at least my other tractor is still orange. i grew up on a 53 FORD!"

I started out with a Kubota, and joined this forum. I now have a John Deere, and still participate on this forum. Why? Because, based on past experience, the forum is mature enough to respect different opinions, preferences, and manufacturers.
SKD, I did not read your original post as anything but an honest sharing of your experiences- not a brand comparison, or a conclusion on which is better. Just experience. That type of post is why I'm here. I appreciate what you've brought to the table.
The day that this changes, or the forum is overrun by people who just want to pick at scabs instead of respect and extend the benefit of the doubt, I will be gone. I've left other forums that started out exemplary, and sank into the mire of sarcasm, disrespect, and bullying.
I love Kubota's, and many other tractors. I appreciate anyone who respects that, and especially those who feel the same.
