Traded in my b2650 for the LX 3310 The idle on the LX is about 400 rpm higher (1300) than the b2650. Is this normal ??

I was shocked that my BX idled at 1400 ish.....

I bet it is normal - thats a DPF also?

So, your B2650 idled at 900? I know they are different motors(lx3310 vs lx2610) but my lx idles at 1060rpm's.

B3350 has high idle also.

Probably to keep the temperature of the DPF up.

So, your B2650 idled at 900? I know they are different motors(lx3310 vs lx2610) but my lx idles at 1060rpm's.

I'll double check next time I am at the cabin, but my recollection is my LX3310 idle is about 1060-1100.

Check the WSM, I would bet the idle speed is listed in there.

The WSM states 1100.
But that number might have changed with all of the issues that they have das with that model, they might have turned up the idle.

With the exception of the smell that seems to go away after a first heavy use, I am not aware of any issues reported on this forum or TbN. Is there something I am missing I should be aware of?

I was quoting a B3350
I got lost in the letters and numbers.

OK an LX3310 does not have a min/ Idle RPM listed as it's a 100% computer controlled unit.
The computer looks at many factors and determines the min RPM that it needs to run properly.

Your right, my mistake, after warm-up, mine idles at around 1100 RPM.

Out of curiosity, what was the trade in value vs the original price paid?

Did you get a good deal, in your mind at least?

Why did you make the switch, it does not seem like a huge improvement for the trouble.

got 75% of what i paid for the 2650 2650 seemed to be slightly underpowered when running the snow blower new machine runs the snow blower much better. To be honest i would have went up to a full "l" series if i could get it with a mid mount mower. also it was just time i typically trade up every 5 years

You can get L60 series with Mid pto.
