lights for a 2650!

I am looking to put lights on the light bar. I don't want to overload the system. I would love to put an led light bar on nothing to huge but enough for snow removel etc. What should I be looking for watt wise?

HOWEVER - run you another complete circuit, it's own fuse ....switch...etc!;):)

According to the data, your B has a 60 alternator on it..........

personally - I would not exceed 15 amps on any given circuit - that using correct wire and fuses. AND if/when lights are put on, run a entirely different circuit, do not "tap" into the harness.

This way you can isolate the new from the old - if any problems occur, it will not affect the factory wiring and fuses.

Those lights I suggested are bright....very bright. I had 4 on one circuit - no problems at all. Total amp draw was little over 6 amps, and I had more light than I could use!:D:)

Look to mount them on your ROPS, there are several ways to do it, I would not drill a tremendous amount of holes in the ROPS however - that's a no-no.

Get some U shaped bolts that can bolt around the ROPS, make some type of bracket that will allow the lights to bolt too.

here is a bunch of ideas:

When you refer to your tractor always use the B as in B2650 as there is an L2650 and it's a completely different animal. ;)

And as far as LED light's go you can put a light bar on it that is as long as the roll bar without it being too much of an amp draw! :D

As lescarpentier says the rops models have a 14 amp dynamo. The cab models have a 40 amp alternator. So with the rops dynamo it can be easily overloaded. Alot of the members have replaced their dynamos with an alternator. I have kept my dynamo and added 4- 2000 watt led lights that draw about 6 amps. The tractor lights and all of the items running draw about 5 amps. So with everything on the system draws about 11 out of 14 available amps. So it does handle it. Through alot of experimentation, I found the engine has to be running at least 1800 rpms for the dynamo to put out enough amps to run everything turned on. If I am going to be sitting for a few minutes like during the winter to go get warmed up, I just flip off the lights. I have had this system for a couple of years and everything works great.

So I went with what 85hokie posted and bought the 6.5 flood lights. I put them on the rops and I have light!! Should be perfect for snowblowing etc. We will see. I bought the spot lights also but I don't think I need them. Might send them back.

The rear auxiliary says 12v 120 watts. Probably a dumb question, but I don't know this stuff. Can I can run two 55 watt halogens off of that wire and if so, it 120 the max?
