I was moving some millings this weekend and noticed fluid dripping by the right front wheel. I was in 4WD. Is it a self fix for this shade tree mechanic or off to the Kubota dealer? I've had it since new 16 years ago.- Thanks-Ed

More than likely you can fix it. Have you pin pointed the leak yet?

If you can turn a wrench it's not a hard fix.
I would say about the most complicated tool involved is a set of good snap ring pliers. ;)

You may get lucky, I did. Mine started leaking because it was building pressure in the axle. Kubota offers a vent kit which replaces the dip stick and it cured my problem.

Even if it doesn't cure your leak it's still a smart purchase to stop future problems.

Kubota number: 35080-99700

By the way, they also offer a dual element air filter kit that's nice as well.

Kubota gives the option to use 90w gear oil. I have changed to gear oil and solved that problem. If the gear oil stars leaking, replace the seal and be on your way.
