I have a BX2670 and would like to add a rotary cutter. Land Pride has a RCR1248 that would be ideal for my needs.

The BX however, does not have a stop limit on the 3 point and the cutter does not have an adjustable skid plate. This makes returning the cutter to the same height after lifting it for a turn almost impossible without getting off the tractor.
Any suggestions on how to deal with this would be greatly appreciated.

Get some limiter chains - once you set it down the chains will hold it at the predetermined place.

These may work - or something similar

We had a set of them limit chains when brush hogging with the old 9 N ,
They are a little bit of a pain to get your cutting height set, but once you get the limit / height you want, tape or zip tie the chain end so it don't fall out of place in the slot.

Why do you have to get off your tractor?
I have owned 3 Kubotas, at different times, with Quarter Inching position control, but didn’t dismount to readjust bush hog after turning.

How does the chain fall out of the slot when the weight of the implement is keeping pressure on the entire connection?

When you lift the cutter, for a turn, ditch , or taking too big a cut...the chains go slack.
