I got 13 acres of mostly native grass with a little bit of Bermuda sprayed today with Gordon's weed/feed 15-0-0.

Next time gonna try Ikes, and for the weed part, just add one ounce Amine 400, 2-4D per gallon of water for weed control.

Cowboy breakfast in the morning. We're gonna attempt to pull calves off 3 herds tomorrow(and 1 of those herds is half bat shit wild) for Thursdays auction.

Auction prices are good. Sucks we were not able to get calves off the wild herd. We dropped molasses tubs in the corral yesterday. Hopefully we can get the herd more comfortable coming and going into that area. One of the other herds we were unable to get about half the calves to come into the corral.
Probably attemp another round up next Wednesday.

nice custom job..... I use rusty pipe wrenchs to make similar kinks to tighten strands.
Guy who runs our local dumps keeps his eye out for me and makes sure he gives any that comes through to me.
I hang them on the fence posts and leave them out all year.
Not kidding when I say probably have 50+.... neighbours probably think I am a mad plumber or something hanging pipe wrenches on fence posts.

Raining stupid hard. I can probably accept the loss of seed on several acres. That's OK, long term (30day) forecast shows more favorable chances of rain. This time last year we were reducing cattle herds and at the end of May 2022 all cows on my place went to auction.

High winds yesterday morning blew the roost house over in the mobile chicken coop. I also had 2 trees fall on seperate fence lines.

Last week I put the dog crate in the back of the truck, I was gonna pick up 4 more pullets, glad I never got around to that.
