Not really off-topic, but I found a few fake tractors that sneaked into this forum :giggle:

There are probably more hidden that escaped the sharp eyes of the moderators :giggle:

Who found others?

Kubot

Kubata

Kibota

Kabata

Kabuto

You've never looked at Craigslist or FB marketplace, lol. I swear those yahoos can't spell anything right.

Some people think I wear a Kubota hat most everywhere other than bed and church because I’m mostly bald. The real reason is so I can remember how to spell “Kubota”. Didn’t have that problem with the Ford and IH. Y’all’s ruthless with the spell checking. 🙂

I get emails from people all the time spelling it wrong...I SOOOOO want to correct them and ask if they know what they bought 😂😂😂. But noooo I have to be 'polite' :p:p:p

Kabota and Kabuta seem to be the most common mispellings.

I think the misspelling is in large part due to the mispronunciation of the name.

Kubota (Koo-Bow-Tuh) would be correct. But many folks pronounce it (Kuh-Bow-Tuh) and go on to spell it phonetically 'Kabota'.

I live in rural Deep East Texas, so I am used to hearing all kinds of 'butchered' names for things.

Yes, that could well be the case. But my little garden tractor has 5 large labels (and lots of smaller ones) with "Kubota" on them, each easiliy readable without glasses :giggle:

Exactly. I'm certainly not making excuses for anyone. Kubota made every attempt to make sure the brand name is prominently displayed.

On my own tractor, you can't miss it.

I wear Kubota hats all the time too. I was out on the boat a few weeks ago with a friend and pointed to my Kubota hat and said "putting the boat in Kubota". We then had a discussion about whether I should name my boat KUBOATA. He's often suggesting that I paint a name on the boat so I created a possible stencil template in Photoshop. I'm not particularly artistic but someone who is could no doubt do a great job with colors and fonts.

It would be even funnier if you had a sailboat that was powered by a Kubota engine.

My boat is powered by a 200 hp Yamaha outboard, but there is a connection between Yamaha and Kubota albeit a tenuous one. But it would be kind of awesome to head out on the Great Loop in a boat powered by a couple of Kubota diesel engines. Add that to my wish list I guess.

N.Y,
I put Kubota in the grill guard that I made for my BX 😃. Living in Deere country you need to standout.
