Hi. Wondering if anyone has seen this error on their tractor. Its been cold here and I've been plugging in the block heater. One morning while it was still plugged in (i believe) the error message came up and it would turn over but not start. While leaving the key on for 2-3 minutes, the message went away and it would start. Same thing today, then I tried unplugging it first and no error. Plugged it in then tried it ---- error message. It seems that the active block heater activates the message. Called the dealer the first time and he said that error message represents a break between the CPU and the display. Ideas?

Well that kind of makes sense in one way that your not supposed to have the block heater plugged in and the tractor running or even starting.

I would always unplug the heater before you even try and start it and see if that cures the occurrence of the code.

Cold again today, tried the ignition without it having been plugged in and the error code is back. Stays for several minutes then the display returned to normal, the glow plug indicator came on and all was normal.

Stupid computer managed tractors. I'll stick with the old non-technology.

Your post saved my bacon. Had the same exact issue with 6060 after plugging it in on week-end when temperature was around 40 C below. We were getting ready for the 12 inches in forecast for tomorrow and error code had me sweating. Thanks for posting SteveBX.

Yeah that is usually a wiring problem; but can also be ECU related. Kubota dealers have some literature from Kubota that deal with those type issues. That info is not available to the public; main reason is that it's not been a big problem; also it's "confidential and proprietary". Deere does the same thing (I worked for deere for a while). If tractor is still in warranty, get it to a dealer. They'll take care of you so long as something stupid didn't happen like a giant sequoia tree or a volacano has accidentally run up through the wiring harness; in which if any of those have happened, KTAC will cover it.
