BAP, it never gets 20 below here!!

My response was very specific for N7HEVN who asked specifically about treating fuel in Oklahoma. I gave him real life examples from living here for a l-o-n-g time!

I guess if someone does not read the whole thread they could get mis-lead, but then I gave specific examples of location.

Yes, but your answer was to someone who jumped in the middle of the thread and would not be correct for the OP who is talking about a much colder climate. If someone reads this thread and missed that the thread changes location because someone jumped in the middle, they might be missed informed.

Guys - regardless of location, like we all often say, and I paraphrase, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.";)

I think earlier in this thread I mentioned diesel being gelled right in the fuel pump at the station a few years ago. My friend owns a plumbing/heating company, and couldn't fill his service truck....it was -10 or -20F as I recall. He gets pretty busy those times!

I put "winter" Power Service in my last can, and am due for more. Given our location, thinking it will be winter blend now, but will get a dose of additive also.

D2Cat, thank you for the tips and information, much appreciated. My place is in the Talihina area.
Sorry for the partial confusion, coming in the middle of the thread. Am sure folks can appreciate, was basing my issue off the original post, with a tangent scenario.

N7HEVN, so you're another 200 miles south of even Coffeville. Just check where you'd be buying fuel, it's it treated for winter you'll be fine...if not add your own.

Some of the posts on Power service had me double check what i added...dosage varies a bit depending on what size bottle you buy and it doubles below 0 degrees....for their website.
