We have loads of leaves and pine needles. I had been using clamp-on debris forks but they didn't work that that great. The tines were too big to penetrate the debris piles well.

I fabricated this one using a SSQA back plate, 3/4" & 1" black pipe, 3/4" x 36" concrete form stakes for the tines and some 4ga. livestock fencing. The tines bolt in so they can be replaced. Tines are spaced 5" on center.

No drawings or sketches, just cut and notched pipe and fitted to what looked right.

Just finished up loading 24cy of leaves and needles. Works great!

Thanks bird dogger!

Blue was the only color I had enough of and I didn't want to drive to town. It would have been pink if that's all I had LOL!
We think alike! LOL! That's exactly the same explanation and reason given for my blue colored grapple dolly. :ROFLMAO: And besides that....blue is a great color! Looks like you can move some serious piles of debris with your set up! Nicely done.

I don't like it one bit!

You can pick up your pine needles, mine are still buried under 2 1/2 feet of snow!

Carry on... 😁

If you actually picked up all of that without piling some of it on by hand......Id say it works awesome!

Beautiful craftsmanship! Nice attention to detail, especially with the fish mouthing of the pipe. You have a jig for that?

Can you see the tines well enough? Can you cut the solid adapter plate to improve the sight lines if needed?

Nicely designed and built implement

Thank you Yooper! I did the notching on my heavy duty drill press with XY table using annular cutters.

Yes I can see the outside tines. Really nice to be able to see the angle in relation to the ground unlike using the standard bucket with clamp-on debris forks.

curious... what happens to them HUGE piles of needles ???
Currently taking them to a local composter. Most people around here burn them once fire season ends.

When we bought the property 3 years ago it had not been well maintained past the irrigated areas so the duff and undergrowth was pretty thick in some places. Every year we expand the areas we clear and rake with the goal of getting the whole property cleared to a point where the amount of material we annually rake is more manageable.

Nice job! Are the tines held in with anything or just slipped in the holes in the tubes?

Looks great! Super job.

Reminds me of the trip fork we used to have on the old 'Moline, but much more useful.
