so... does the tractor start, run, brake, hydraulics work ??
If so you're looking at maybe $3000, as is for ALL of it.
Big issue is the BH is all over the ground, used and abused, likely need hoses, tank cleaned, pump tested.
Messick's has a used spool valve assy.. $1555. Hoses might need to ne custom made ??

It looks like your getting everything you need or want!
Get it home then go through all of it, then you can ask more exact questions.
It really doesn't matter what you pay for it if it's wat you want.
You might be better off leaving everything attached to this tractor and use the other as a three point tractor!

Yup that’s exactly the plan

elaborate on what you mean exactly
When you are burried under this project, with many dollars of unanticipated expense, and having a Rube Golberged implement that will not function reliabily, it will then be painfully obvious that a better route might have been selected.

Yes it does start
Buying ANYTHING from messick is bad choice, junkyards and scrapyards are way more affordable

hoses custom made: what do you expect on a machine that’s 40+ years old? Hoses can be made locally at a hydraulic place. Am I correct?

What are the chances that you are incorrect?
Meaning, if I get it to function properly and reliably with little extra expense
What will that say about your judgment?

I use Messisk's only as a reference, especially to those south of the 49th.
Don't know about price of custom hoses in your location (?), for me they're usually $2 a foot, $5 an end.

That will say nothing about my judgement!
It will simply suggest that there may be exceptions to every rule.

We’ll find out next week what this tractor is gonna need to get going

my theory: not much to get it functioning well enough to use

Your theory: there’s gonna be many parts missing that are fundamental and expensive

am I right?

I noticed on my backhoe on the LX2610 HSDC it has reinforcement brackets all over it, that i think are stronger than the frame in my opinion. If I remember right the reinforcement brackets pallet was like 500 pounds in itself. The main brackets goes from the back to the front loader attachment.

missing both 'feet' though not a big deal...
missing seat again not a big deal...
missing the hydraulic spool valve assy, that IS a 'BIG" deal
missing PTO hydraulic pump.

sub frame is homemade

you can see parts at Messicks online, to give you an idea what's not there and maybe a price ?
It is only missing the seat. The feet are on it, the pump is on the tractor and the Spool valve is on it. You can’t see it bc of the way it’s laying. It is not a homemade assembly and it has all the brackets that are needed. The majority are still on the tractor

I can only go by what I see in the pictures vs Messick's drawings and the PDF posted here. The feet for the stab arms are missing, or at least not mounted
The 'subframe' is homemade ,well, NOT OEM..or Kubota supplied part.
it'll be interesting to hear what it costs for all the fluids and filters, but for $3K it'd be an 'ok' project.

Agreed.
I see no stabilizer feet in those two photos.
I do suspect that they may be obtainable as used parts.

filters and fluids I was planning on going to tractor supply. Aren’t they the best cost option?
[/QUOTE

TSC fluid not recommended by Kubota for HST....but it will be cheapest,..... so go for it.

'best cost' isn't necessarily BEST.
Download a copy of the owners manual and the WSM, see what they say about 'oils'. Also ask the current owner what he put in.
Google search 'l295dt fluids', you'll get several hits, some from here and read what others say

Since the BH is a self contained system, something like AW32 or UTF should work but you must be diligent about removing as much of the old oil as possible. Typically it's a 3 part process. 1st flush removes 99% of the old , 2nd flush removes the last 1% (sort off) and 99% of the 1st new oil. Then add the 'real' oil.
Best to cycle every spool valve several time, allow oil to heat up,be sure to replace filter before adding the final good oil. The reservoir could take 5 gallons ??, so $200 for the flush, $100 for the 3rd fill
