***Please note, this does not fit all BX's***

I have a BX25DLB-R-1 that this fits. Others may not what if fits and doesn't in the thread.

After I got a leaf in my tank I started researching fuel tank strainers. I saw some guys DIY something and some guys have the UTAH bio-diesel build them one. I believe I found something easy and cheap. It is a wide-mouth mason jar cold brew strainer off of Amazon. It not only fits perfect and it was only $13. This should keep any crap from floating in, like that darn leaf.

Edit-
This is the item I ordered. https://www.amazon.com/iAesthete-Co...r&qid=1633642137&sprefix=cold+,aps,185&sr=8-9

I am wondering if people who have a model with the ridge that blocks this one could try the tapered model. https://www.amazon.com/Filter-Coffe...ter&qid=1634219486&s=home-garden&sr=1-22&th=1

Cool !

Could you please post dimensions and/or link to Amazon?

I see quite a number of them on there, but no idea which will fit.

Thanks for sharing.

My Kubota M4500 (1979) came with one made out of plastic.. I have to take it off when I fuel because it greatly restricts the fuel flow from my hand pumped tank. Kinda defeats the purpose but I can't spend a hour refueling.

I haven't tried this but does a fuel cap from a Z726 fit a BX?

If so, there was a bulletin issued for the Z726 that dealt with putting a screen into the filler neck. If that's the case, it "should" also fit the BX.

Great find! I may buy two, one for my BX2200 and one for my son in law's BX23S.

The ONLY thing that is holding me back, is that the fuel gage from day one never worked right on my BX. Not a problem, as I just look in when I think it is time, and add fuel when I see the level is low enough to make it worth lifting the fuel can.

I am thinking with this strainer I might have to keep removing it to see fuel level. Not sure how much fuel the top 5 inches of the tank holds...

My first thought was, even if it would fit perfectly, what are the chances Kubota would be selling something like that for $12.99? Especially with free shipping if you buy two...

I thought this was a great idea and it is, so I ordered one. Arrived today. Won't fit in my BX2380 fuel tank. There is a ridge about 2" down in the tank and this won't fit past that ridge. YMMV

That is a shame...but a great data point to pass on or others. Thanks for that.

I better check my SIL's BX23S tank opening before ordering anything,,,and my BX2200 as well, but think the BX2200 should be OK.

To the OP: What model BX do you have?

I wonder if that would fit the B ?
That's a good question, and should be answered easily with a pair of dial calipers, which I have and will use to check my B2910.

I noticed when looking on line that there are other sizes available from some sellers, so there is still hope if this particular one does not work for a B series...

I checked my BX2200 and B2910.

BX2200 should work fine

Opening ID 2.985 inches, but there is a slight ridge in the bottom of the opening.
(Ridge estimated to be less than 1/16 inch)
Net opening width straight through: 2.86+. Strainer width 2.76"

ID of the cap threads: 3.314 inches. If my measurement was accurate, this should work, since the diameter of the strainer lip is shown as 3.26

B2910

Hole diameter: 2.384
Inside threads: 2.895

This particular strainer would not work for the B2910.
