Hello! I just picked up a B7100hst today!

When I was about to load it on the trailer, I went to start it and the key broke off :-( I was able to figure out which connection was the glow plugs and starter so I'm able to start it, but I obviously want to replace the ignition switch.

I was told that it was a 1995 B7100HST-D. The engine code shows D750-AH. I have a serial number, but is it not a good idea to post that?

Anyway, I attempted to use the online parts catalog to find the OEM part number, but I can't seem to find the ignition switch :-|

I found this on eBay... can someone confirm if this is the correct replacement part for my tractor?

Here is a short video of my new pride and joy! :D

Nice tractor, but kind of hard to see with what seems to be 2/3 of the view blocked out.

If you are using your smart phone, try it horizontally instead of vertically.

I should have mentioned that I don't have a second key, so even if I get it out, I'd need a new key. Based on the parts of the key that came out(I did try to extract it), I wouldn't be able to bring it to a locksmith to have one made.

Thanks,
Mark

Go to the nearest Kubota dealer and tell him you have a B7100. He'll have a box of keys. Or find someone nearby that has a B7100 and maybe they have a spare until you get one. Or order a B7100 key off of Ebay. They're all the same... no serial number needed!

I've got a key for an L2050, and it's the same key as an L4240.

A lot of Kubota keys fit several model of machines.

I am guessing the key has been broken off in the ignition switch of my B5100 for over 20 years. Was like that since I've known my wife (17 years), as I inherited it from my father in law. An old, wood-handled, flat-head screwdriver that hangs on the throttle by a piece of heavy-gauge wire has faithfully carried out starting duty for many a year. That's the kind of character you don't find on a new tractor. lol

Yes that's the right part #.
And there is not an issue with posting the serial #.
It helps get exact answers to certain questions.
It's not like a Vin# or your SS#. ;)
