Will a L3901 with a front loader and a Land Pride RTR12 58 inch tiller fit on a 16 foot trailor?

Re: Big enough trailor

Tractor without loader is right a 9' and tiller going to add 26" so that going to leave almost 5' for the loader. It should fit without any problem.

Re: Big enough trailor

Biggest problem you run into with a short trailer is the inability at get the weight up in front of the axles, I'm not saying it won't work, but you might be a little long, if you are you might have to remove the bucket to be able to get the weight far enough forward. ;)

Re: Big enough trailor

Check local dealers on trailers. Found one that sells dual axles with electric brakes in Coeburn VA for about same as local tractor supply single non electric brake axle model. Must put weight toward tongue as possible.

Re: Big enough trailor

As many have said - the trailer is long enough, but you have to get the mass forward past the center line of the two axles. You might have to curl your bucket under to move forward another foot - that ONE foot forward makes a hellva difference!

Re: Big enough trailor

I have found that many times it is necessary to load with tractor facing backwards to get the weight a little forward of axle.

Re: Big enough trailor

My advise is be more concerned about the weight limits on the trailer. Most 16' trailers are 7K rated and a 3901 with loader and tiller weighs about 4500 lbs. Add at least another 2K for the trailer weight and you're almost at the max weight.
That said, will it fit, yes. Can you get by with a trailer that size, yes. Have I done the same thing myself, yes. Because I've been in the same situation is why I say look at the trailer specs. I had lots of times my trailer made me feel uncomfortable but just didn't know any better. Now after buying a heavier rated trailer I can see the difference plain as day.

When it comes to weight, you can haul light loads on a big trailer but you can't haul a heavy load on a small trailer. My $.02

Finally got the tiller. Put the tractor on the trailor with the bucket curled under and I have 4 inches in front and 4 inches in the back. 16 foot trailor
